Before I get started on the weekend I want to apologize to all those in Aude Sapere for publicly lambasting your guild last week. SORRY.
I bet the bankroll when I deguilded my toons from AS one night and lost. I thought my odds were excellent that the Guild Leadership would want to take some action to find out what happened and if anything could be done about it. When they didn’t I started in on the accusations name-calling and what-not. Bleh, it was ugly. (Dot, I know you’ve put the effort in before to keep people around. I spose that’s why I thought it was a personal thing. Maybe it is? Who knows, it’s still boggling to me but fortunately it doesn’t matter anymore.)
I’d mentioned before that I doubted I’d ever join another guild, but I have and won’t hesitate in the future to join groups with my games. We’re social buggers and we’re always better for the relationships we build whether they turn sour or not. I’ve walked away from AS with, what are already sustainable friendships. So, it was well worth my time and effort to invest myself in the people there. (Fortis, I want to say something to you here but I just don’t know what. I’ll miss not seeing N’s one year pic I would have forced you to post.)
So, this weekend I’m looking forward to playing some EQ with the new guild hubby and I joined – it’s a bunch of old married folks like us. My goal is to get him comfortable enough with a few others that I can slowly bow out of this game. I’m pretty committed to Eve - it’s a fabulous game. The very nature of it weeds out the impatient youngsters and leaves behind those who want to seriously spend the time on some really cool stuff. You can do SO much with it.
I’ll also be bowing out of Allakhazams, but will always be on the lookout for familiar names as I cruise through the gaming realms. It’s been nice chatting with you all. Thanks for the great information.
It’s springtime.
It’s Friday.
(Hah!! This was just a good-bye post after all)
