I have not had time to look at this expansion much.

Is there an "explore" Arcstone type mission/task, heard there was, and the reward was an AA but don't know who or where to get it from. Didn't see it on the quest list.

The horses, mobs near the entrance, are indifferent to me. What faction issues does killing them effect? Are there other mobs in Arcstone that start out as indifferent?

Yes, there is an explore Arcstone mission that has 5 steps. I have only completed 3/5 in my general ventures and the reward is "experience" so that may be enough experience to ding a full AA. You get the quest from one of the 2 guys standing around a fake corpse at the zone in from Freeport.

The horses are indifferent but you do not suffer any faction hits from killing them at least since I last killed them (prior to the patch). There is also a named horse, Master of the Herd, with the 3 mobs who follow him and he is indifferent, but I believe there are no faction hits for killing him either. So far, the horses are the only mobs that I've seen that are indifferent and I believe I have conned everything.

One final note is there is usually a good mix of see invis mobs no matter which camp you're in so be careful if you are trying to just explore around for the quest or just running around in general. The earth, wind & (of course) undead mobs all see normal invis if I remember correctly. Approximately 50% of the water mobs and 20% of the fire & spirit wolf mobs also see invis. This is all prior to the most recent patch so it may have changed (i.e. barely any wind mobs used to see invis when PoR was first released).

I did it yesterday, along with the other quest for that cloak. Worked out well, since the explore quest took us to the exact same places as the quest for the cloak. The result was a bit less than an AA. I'd say around 75%, at level 70.

Just a tip...

If you are or have a druid with you the Horses are Mezzable. That step was the easiest for me.

Good luck.
