What are they and how do I get them? I have heard that you can get double exp for a short time, but I'm not sure how. I have also heard of tributing stuff. How does that work? Too many questions, I know.

So I guess I am a newb to not know this stuff.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Veteran rewards are available to accounts that have been active for over a year. For every cumulative year active there is an AA ability. The first reward is 30 minuts of double exp every 24 hours. Other veteran rewards include maxing stats and resists, multiple corpse summon+rez, a servant to buff/heal you and group, etc. I don't remember what the command is, though; something like /claimveteran.

Veteran rewards are found in your AA's if you have them. They are a reward from SOE based on how long you have paid for an account. 1-7 years.

Year 1-3 (not sure of order) are double exp, a jester, max stats, all lasting approx. 1/2 hour with a 24 hour lock out.

4 is rezzing for 100% all your corpses in game. I think once per week.

Somebody who has 5-7 will have to supply those.

However many rewards you get is how many toons you can put it on. If you have 3 rewards, 3 toons can have them. They are non transferable or re-assignable. If you delete a toon that has them, they go away.

Stealing your list.

Year 1: Lesson of the Devoted
Double experience for 30 minutes. Buff slot. Recharge: 1day.

Year 2: Infusion of the Faithful
Maxes stats and resists (to your cap), and slightly increases run speed. 15 minutes. Buff slot. Recharge: 1day.

Year 3: Chaotic Jester
Summons a Halfling, pet-like creature that follows you around. Doesn't assist you or take orders. It casts it spells on all those in area, including: illusions (into some monster in zone), growth, shrink, summon Brell's Bread (10 per summon, Temporary) (name?), summon Brell's Wine (10 per summon, Temporary) (name?), full HP heal, full mana and endurance heal. It also tells bad puns. Doesn't zone with you. Lasts either 15 or 30 mins.. can't remember. Recharge = 1day.

Year 4: Expedient Recovery
Love this one. Summons all corpses and rezzes the ones that're still able to be for 100%. Recharge = 7days.

Year 5: Steadfast Servant
Summons a little imp that'll heal those in area. Clerical Imp! Little guy seems to love heal over time spells.

Year 6: Staunch Recovery
Maxes your current HP and Mana to your pool caps. (Full HP/mana heal.)

Year 7: Intensity of the Resolute
Increased chance of crits (Stole this from jrickertsen, in addition to his fine list. I don't have this AA, so I can't confirm.)

The lil imp also casts Haste and an AC buff. Quite a helpful creature.

When did/will they award the 7th vet reward? My account has been active continuously since the very day EQ went active. My oldest toon was created 7 years ago back on the 15th of February. I thought that if your toon had already "claimed" veteran rewards then the newest one would just "show up" when the time frame qualified for a new one. Are the years calendar years or rolling from say may 1st to april 31st.....??

I remember seeing that it either runs with the billing cycle/monthly or it is based on the actual start date. I just can't remember. However if you are unsure keep checking the panel that the vet rewards are on to see if they have added it. If you don't see it after say a month or so after the date it was due then petition it.

It is entirely based off the # of months you have paid for. So, technically, you could start a brand new account today and pre-pay for 7 years of Everquest and instantly have all the veteran's AAs.

I don't have Staunch Recovery yet.. but from what I read on eqdiva it does not work on Bard mana. This makes me sad.

If you have earned rewards, you get a message each time you log on, that character can clain veteran rewards, and gives you the command.

Just a question to add to this instead of adding a new thread all together

If I decide to start a 2nd account, and I move my main character to it, will I loose all of his Vet AAs being that the account has not been active the same number of years as my old?

A character that has vet rewards will transfer with those rewards.

The Jester doesnt tell bad puns. Not all of his comments are puns. And the puns he tells arent bad.

I think Groogle is right. I have a character that is 5 years old, but it's on an account 2 years old. He has 2 Vet. AA.

For those who want to know how much payed time is on their account: type /played while in game. It'll tell you how much time has been credited to your account, in years and a decimal. And it only credits you with time based off of monthly subscriptions. What I mean is, it doesn't go by the total amount of time you've had your account, it goes by the total time PAID on your account.

For example: I pay for my subscriptions with a game card, and there have been a few months where I didn't renew right away (either no money at the time, or no time to play). My account was created in November 2002 (begining of the month iirc). But I just now in March of 2006 received my 3rd Vet reward. So if I had continually renewed my account on time every month, I would have received it in November2005, but since it was scattered, I received it 4 months later. So in November when I checked my /played account time, it said I had 2.8 years credit.

And all posts above saying to pay for the account ahead of time are correct. And for the person that asked about the 7th year reward: They released this reward along with the other 6 last year, and tied it to a prepay offer, so if you pre-paid for the next year you would also receive your 7th reward.
