Where to find CoordinatesFollow

#1 Mar 01 2006 at 9:02 AM Rating: Decent
On Allakhazam, when something or someone is listed as being 202.18, -167.21, -187.62 where do I go in EQ to find these coordinates?
Thanks for all your help. These forums are great to read and learn from. Nettie Mae

in game type /loc and it will display your current coordinate location. you can then simply move to a new area to see if it got you any closer to the ones you are trying to find and type /loc again. i would suggest making a hotkey if your trying to find a specific spot as it makes it a little easier while your running around.

I cheat a bit on this as I am a complete dork at finding a spot with /loc while also trying to avoid mobs.

I normally peek into eqatlas.com and have a look on their maps were the /loc is approx. then i use the /loc command in game to get the exact spot. warning though check that the map they ahve is still valid many zones have been revamped.

many people today use a program called CT Mod. In CT there is a map mod that displays the current coordinates of the player, and the coordinates of your cursor, very very handy, no need to set hotkeys or keep typing /loc, whenever you press M and bring up your map, the coordinates are already there. Google CT Mod. lots of other useful stuff with it as well.

Not sure if the use of this program is "legal" in SOE's eyes...

Why T F do you need a hack in a non PvP game? To get the jump on an Orc?

Use /loc.

I hadn't heard of CT Mod before, so I did some poking around. It seems that CT Mod is actually a UI mod for WoW, not some shady program for EQ. Given that I know nothing about WoW, I have no clue how valid (or otherwise) it is for use in that game.

CT mod and other mods for WoW are actually encouraged by the devs and more than supported by the game's mechanics. In fact, for most efficient play it's difficult to play without certain mods.
