I would hesitate to use a monk as they dont have effective taunt.(Not having played one above level 12, I wont say they cant taunt, though I think that is the case.) So if your finger wriggler(s) gets aggro, it will be difficult to get the mob off.
As far as paci pulling it is not hard. The pacify line can be cast on a mob out of line of sight, so all you have to do is have your puller target multiple mobs and cast.It is quite effective at least until you start hitting mobs higher than level 55. Keep in mind the enchanter can pacify as well.
I would still give the berzerker a chance, however just to see how it works out. Its not like your broke and with no friends to help you with zerker gear.

Wayen, no, I will only two box. I currently have the Wizard and the pallie on one account, but could move the pallie to the new one. three boxing is no option :)

I can assure you that when properly played, Berserkers can build up massive aggro.
Since you're going to use him as a tank, I'd go for a decent slower and stat buffer (which you currently lack). Shaman is the obvious choice.

software was in the mail yesterday, I also spent 200 USD on the two vet rewards.
as to characters choice, I will simply transfer my 50 pallie.
so wit will be like
Player 1 (me) = Wizard and Pallie
Player 2 (friend) = Cleric and Zerker
not perfect at all (still no slow etc), but I am too lazy to level another toon right now.
also: email from SOE CS (mind you, had an answer after 12 hours ish) also confirms, what has been said in another thread recently.
"Regrettably in cases of characters transferring from account to account, any Veteran Rewards claimed on the original account are lost in the transfer to the new account, and may not be reclaimed on any other character."
oh well.

Old thread, but you bumped it :P I personally two box SK and druid, my wife plays BL and ranger. SK holds agro masterfully and can lifetap to make up for light druid heals, druid can debuff the mob very heavily (and skin of the reptile combined with sk tap AAs and crit heal AAs makes me land 1200 point heals when hit and 1600pt offensive proc heals when crits go off) Beastlord sicks pet then slows, switches boxes to turn on autofire and switches back to engage melee. The group works out very very well, 4 box in MPG daily in an attempt to get those last 69-70 runes and take names no problem with no outside buffs. I don't miss /ooc donating for (insert buff). I know you already made your choice, but perhaps other family type groups are curious.
Srakeats, if you want to help other people, why don't you just post it on the EQ Wikibooks? just make a section within the FAQ section i.e. and call it "2 boxing suggestions".
