I started to do the baking one, and someone warned me that to finish this it will ask for your grandmaster trophy, and the judge will NOT hand it back.
Someone did the smithing one on AB and lost it, naturally mightily cheesed off now.

I for one cannot afford to have another 2-3 tries at creating it so will wait to see if this quest is worth it.

yes its worth it, +12% at 300 skill and the trophy "learns" to +15%, that beats the old 5% trophy hands down. Best to give it in next to last though =)

I copied and pasted the below from EQTC. The new trophies allow you to get separate bags now for each trophy =). So you can have Masters Jewelers Bag 100% - 10 slot giant, Master Poisoncrafter.... etc. You can also have at the same time, the Expert (etc) Bag for the appropriate tradeskill. The expert is 75% wieght reduction bag 10 slot giant.
I expect to see alot of alts with hand me down wieght reduction bags, and lots of now obselete wieght reduction bags for sale in bazaar. I will no longer need the 4 tinkers bags that I have for my main, I can get 1 masters and 3 expert bags in no time, and not too long after that 3 more masters bags =)

"The trophies have stat modifiers that get better with the higher trophies. They are also evolving items that will get stronger as you do more combines that are not trivial to you but also not trivial more than 100 over your current skill. At this point it looks like they are also already evolved to match your current skill if you have a skill more than just barely enough to get that task. So if you have a skill of 275, your Expert trophy will already be more evolved than that of someone who just acquired one at 250 skill.

The new trophies also can summon weight reducing bags just like the old trophies did. However, if you take one of the new summoned bags to the gnome Jolum in the Bazaar, instead of giving you a permanent bag in its place, he will give you an Essence. Combine it in a tradeskill container for that trophy's skill and you will get a permanent bag that is specific to that skill. This means that you can have a different, permanent bag for each of your skills!

On the warning side. Don't bother with the brewing until lvl 100. One of the items in the Beginner (lvl 50) quest is not possible to make (fizzle pop) this is the one with the aerated mineral water which doesn't exist. The other one fizzlepop is trival 142 and is not what the judge wants.

judge keeps all the task items you give her

I had a look on EQtraders and it looks as if the combines made for (example) jewelry are the same for those with or without a GM trophy. Only difference is if you have your GM trophy you need to hand it in. Hmm would ahve been nice if you did have it that you could hand it in with maybe only 50% of the quest combines to make but alais thats eq for you
