I literally just finished trying to resort components in my bank for the Research skill, which I have not yet started on my Chanter (waiting for the Arcane Tongues and Salvage AA's).

All of my main characters are stuffed to the brim. I save all items of quests I may someday wish to do and many, many trade skill components. I even have a Cracked Staff on my Druid, which I wield proudly back in the days it was ubber. (Yes, I know these days did not last long at all.)

On the upside, whenever I try to go back and do a quest or tradeskill, I find I have a base level of components and items. Just always a pain having to figure out how to make room for new influxes of shiny things! *Glares to either side, protective of his Halfling pride like a ferret*

Since I like to do a lot of tradeskilling, I am constantly shifting stuff from one toon to another. I have three toon dedicated to 'non-melee' tasks; one for the bazaar, one to forage, and one for Guild buffs, and all three have max capacity containers, all filled to the brim with junk to finish tradeskilled items. That being said, I won't be buying the new expansion right away, so I will continue to cope for the time being...

All of the new bank slots from Ykesha (the extra 8) have been appropriated by 10-slot containers, all of which have at least 1 research Words per slot. The 2 shared? Two toolkits full of Bazaar junk.

i have made toons for simple reason of having run outta space , having a druid main doesnt help :) and doing trades on 4 toons means a lot of shifting around shared . am coping atm but wouldnt mind some breathing space, remembering where i put things is main prob , always seem to have to go thru all toons just to find one item needed to finish quest/skill.

One of my toons is working on Research... Bags Full of Words!! *sighs* And is also working on baking.. :-\ Need I say more?? My bank is over-run w/ tradeskill items... And that is just one toon... All of the others have similar probs... My shaman is working on Alchemy and Pottery...My Bst has bags of furs and miscelaneous smithing items... I am buying Ro and jumping up and down for the added bank space... I just can't help myself!! *grins*

My main character is full to the brim... my bazaar mule is half full, and my tradeskill supply mule is full to the brim.

The extra bank slots are one of the two reasons why I'm going to buy PoR. The second one is the war horse mount.

I don't think that I will be able to use much of the content yet...

I have way to much stuff in my bank and I hate to delete old No Trade gear so my bank is almost full right now =(.
#13 Feb 11 2006 at 9:08 AM Rating: Decent
My main is usually at 80%

My trader mule is also usually at 60%-90% depending on how good the sales are going.

And now for the pathetic department......I've created 3 other character just for the puspose of holding items. All 3 are perma-camped in PoK by main bank. One char hold nothing but furs. One hold nothing but bricks. One holds everything else. My main just holds the No Drop quest pieces. Logging in and out is not too big of a pain in the butt.

As you can guess, I'm a trade skill adict. I'm also working on about 5 quests, of which two are huge (Epic and Prayer Shawl).

That being said....I won't be rusing out for the new expansion. I still have 3 unused chars, so that leaves me 480 slots to fill. If I ever get to that point, then I need Professional Help and the expansion won't help me.

There is tons of unused content for me in the 9 expansions that I have. The only reason to jump on the new expansion so quickly would be to locate and use/exploit bugs that Sony is famous for having in every new release. That is kind of sleazy is my opinion, so I won't be rushing out anytime soon.

Just my opinion. Thanks for reading.

Not only is my mains account full, so are all 4 of my Alts. Each specializing in a tradeskill. More bank space simply means more crap to look through when searching for items in the bank. LOL

Have alts that do not have bank full of containers.
But my main will avoid quests that have containers
for lack of space.

One reason I haven't done more don tradeskilling is
lack of space for the backpack of molds/patterns.
Need one more drop for VT key to free up a bank slot.

I have one storage mule that has a full bank, full inventory, and is currently in a monster shroud, and has a full character inventory as a monster. Not many people realize this is a way to get eight extra storage slots in a crunch.
#17 Feb 11 2006 at 12:39 PM Rating: Decent
Not only am I out of "storage" space, but I have 2 "mule" toons to hold my spillover. The delima is that I, like many, actually tradeskill. It seems that the average recipe (atleast for spell research) is comprised of 10-20 pieces, and every spell has different pages, inks, solutions, etc. If SOE wants to make the combines as cumbersome as it is, perhapse they should come out with a 25 or 30 slot container for tradeskill components only?

Space is tighter than I would like, but I am coping.

Heh, I have a lot of room actually... My Inventory is full of bags but many slots in 'em. Most of my bank is full with bags with, yep, empty slots. But then it'll creep up on me and I'll wind up with no room. :D

If if wern't for my trader mule I would be out of room. Only thing is he's getting full to the rim. Between trade skills and epics for atleast 4 chars it is tight at times. But as i find bigger and more wr bags it tends to get somewhat better.

My main is a GM smith and also works jewelcraft and brewing. I'm currently involved in several quests such as the Vex Thal access quest, the Anguish access quest, and the assistant researcher's symbol, just to name a few.

As a result of this HUGE demand on storage space, I have created 2 mules for holding my stuff. One is named "skillzmule" and the other is "needbiggerbank". We are given 8 toons per server. I find it a shame that I have to use 2 of my toon slots to store items for my main.

EQ2 has 12, 16, 20, even 30 slot containers. While I would agree that a toon should not be able to CARRY unlimited items on his person, I believe our bank capacity should be 2, 3, even 4 times the size it is.

I don't believe it should be bigger, I KNOW it should be bigger.

Something that might help (a little) - I have 3 - 10 slot containers of KEYS, most of which are on my /key ring. It would be nice to be able to /destroy a key after it goes on the key ring.

Hope to see you do something about this soon.

In response to Horwoodlake's post.... I agree that expansions are coming too fast. I have a ton of content i'm still working on. Every time a new expansion comes out people flock to do the new content. This makes it extremely difficult to find anyone interested in working on DoN progression or DoD spell missions. The price of GM armor has doubled or tripled because no one does DoN's anymore so the uncommon components like metallic drake scales are getting hard to come by. I have the first 10 expansions, don't think i'm going to rush to get the 11th either.

you CAN destroy a key after it is on your ring FYI. just /key to make sure its there, should be added after its used once, then destroy it np.

as far as how full am i? well lets just say id shell out the 30 bucks for expansion JUST for the new bank slots.

On the Mac version we only have 8 bank slots...nothing shared. That really is the only thing I wished SOE would add.....until we kill Quarm, that is. =)
