Character TransFollow
Hello I just Recently Spoke with Sony ant they said that IT takes 3-4 weeks to Transferr a Toon from one account To mY other account. This does not sound right. It is an awfuly long Time for someone to Wait to be playing their toon again. Can anyone Confirm that that long of a Wait is true ? .......... And do i have to Stop playing my toon Untill transferr is complete ?
Nah, I've done several character moves in the last few months and it usually takes about a week. No, you don't have to stay logged off the account during this time either. Or at least I didn't.
Ok thank you what A releif hehe ....They say to stop playing that toon that you need transferring... But did you play Every day ?
It took 19 days for my and my wife's accoutns to transfer. 2 accounts, 2 toons on each account. As far as playing your toon, if you are online with that toon at the time they go to do the transfer, they "will move your transfer to the bottom of the queue"... That is a direct quote from the reply email I got from SOE when I sent them a request for the status of our moves.
We stopped playing those toons and 3 days later the transfer was complete.
For the record though, you don't have to be logged off the account at the time of the transfer. We were both playing on those accounts just different toons at the time the transfer actually occured (I checked my email after we logged off EQ for the night, saw the email confirmation and then logged back into EQ and saw that, indeed, they toons were transfered.

I've transferred one character to a different account; I believe it took all of 3 days. Though this was some 2-3 years ago, when there was some actual Customer Service.

Does SOE charge for server moves??
$50 per char was the going rate, I believe.

I moved servers with some mates at the end of last year. It took the 1.5 weeks to transfer me and the tohers it took them 3 weeks (they got moved Xmas eve). From what I have found out about the moves is that as stated above if that toon is online they will skip you until the next time they do moves. I also found out that they were to busy tring to get eqplayers working that they did no moves for a few weeks.
Stick with it and after the 3 weeks if they have not moved your toon start sending them emails.

$50 is the price for transfer of your character without items, $75 if you want your gear to transfer as well.
Put in for another character move Monday morning. Done today.
