Do focus effects stack?
If so is there a cap.?
Also when looking things up through Lucy some effects have:
" 12: Limit: Resist(Poison allowed) " Does this mean they only work on spells that allow that type of resist in the first place or does the focus work but allow a resist not normally allowed for that spell?

I was looking up spell dammage modifiers - would the same be true of other focus effects? Say Spell duration / spell haste / etc.

Focus StackingFollow
Focus effects do not stack. The best type of foci wins out, but different effects can be combined.
For example, say you have a Mana Preservation, Affliction Efficiency and Spell Haste and cast a damage over time spell. The Mana Pres gives a percentage of mana savings on all spells, but the Affliction Efficiency gives better mana savings on DoT lines. Thus, the Affliction Efficiency will take effect. The Spell Haste will also work, since that's affecting cast time and not mana used.

enchanters have a chromatic nuke, and I'm sure there are a few other chromatic ones floating around.

Exactly. I realize you're looking at and referring to a lot of higher-end stuff, which I'm not famiilar with, but I do know there are a lot of resist-specific foci around (PoP elemental gear, for example).
General rule: foci effects cannot stack (the same type of effect) but will combine (different types of effects).

Yeah Debalic I am looking at top end stuff, not there yet but will be someday.
I am a perfectionist and always do tons of online research for whatever I am playing. This lets me plan out things :D

3: Limit: Effect(Poison Counter allowed)
4: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed
in this case This focus reduces hate by 40% on any spell that adds "posion counters" (IR what can cure the effect)
This focus only comes on ENC only itemss and The only spells Enchanters have that are cured with poison is the Tash line. So this stacks with every focus I have when I cast Tash except
Persuasive Gaze

2: Limit: Max Level(70) (lose 10% per level over cap)
3: Limit: Spell Type(Detrimental only)
The focus on my Epic. When I cast Tash the epic effect does not work, only the Inny's Sarcasm.
