I was wondering if their are any other games you can play in EQ besides /gems. Any info would be appreciated.

There's always a good game of Punt the Gnome to be had.

Yeah.

Only Gems. No other games. It is pretty sad that gems even exists in the first place.

If Everquest is a "game" why do we need mini-games within it to keep us busy and to allow us to have fun?

Hey that little /gems game is what I used to get my Grandma to start playing. Once I got her in the game she started watching the chat and then talking to the NPCs and then visiting other zones, and finally killing stuff, etc...

There's nothing cooler than kicking it in an Ldon with Grandma!

I play /gems on long boring camps.

I fricken rock at /gems. I'd be a lvl 70 in /gems if I could.

I think Prophecy of Ro should include only Gems related AA's. Things to slow down the falling rate, extra peeks ahead, maybe even an AA to unlock a super-special gem with a new spell identity. Truely, this is what EQ needs most.

Or else an AA to unlock a Worms/Snake/Tron Light Cycle style game.

I always thought it would be cool if you could get benefits from the gems game... something like if you lined up three of the mind buff symbols you got 18 seconds of increase mana regen, etc.

I'm not sure I want the group cleric playing Tetris mid-dungeon because he wants three ticks of mana regen.

Pacman would be a great addition to that line of mini games..

However, on the same note it would suck. There is one thing that I hate most of all... "tanking clerics" (or druid or shammy). The healer that is bored or really wanted to be a warrior that prefers to beat stuff up instead of medding and healing. If they put in Pacman as a minigame..id hate to see a cleric play it and miss half of his group dying off.......

Hmmm...

Whenever the clerics in my group tank (well most of the time they don't tank they just melee)they always keep up with the heals and sit when they need mana... maybe you should stop worrying about what they are doing and worry about YOUR job in the group!

My job in the group can be accomplished with /melody and /follow. Forget Gems, next time I'm windowing out and playing a full on game of Civilization IV. Smiley: laugh
