Sat in POK trying to get a group, solo'd awhile then went back to POK to try and group. no luck :( i cant figure out why no one wants a 64 shammy in their groups, and until i make 65 I cant get in a guild this is fustrating

as said before. try ooC'ing in e.g. BoT, Lavastorm, WoS or post in general chat.

also, why do you have to be 65 to get guilded? is it a specific guild with certain rqmts.? if so, just do a few MM's Smiley: wink2

Let's see, what did I do this last weekend in Norrath? Well, everyone was away in Rome so I had the home to myself and some good time to make up for lost time...

Finally, finally got Archery Mastery I and decided after seeing the dmg that I would go after EQ before trying for AM II and III. Did pick up 2 CLASS 7 Drakebone Drakespire Arrows for when I get it. This should absolutely rock in conjunction with an Obsidian Compound Bow.

Figured out what the best tribute point/bazaar trash ratio is, what sells in the bazaar very very cheap but pulls high trib points, got 13000 points for just under 978 plats.

With the help of my Guild...the one and only Valorious of Prexus...finally got Swiftwind for the first weapon of my Ranger 1.0 epic. VALORIOUS!!! YOU ROCK!!! Of course, when I went to do the turn in with Telin, discovered a major BUG in the system. I was supposed to turn in an Ancient Sword to Telin and Faelin is supposed to step from the shadows. At that time I was supposed to hand her the sword and she would return Swifty. Imagine my surprise when I got there and found Telin in a barn dance with not 1 but 8 Faelins. OK, so I took a big chance and did the hand in to the Faelin that didn't seem to move as much and it worked, but oh man...did get some really good screenshots of the whole thing, just trying to imagine the best caption before submitting them to Alla.

In the above mentioned situation, found out just how...reliable...the bug reporting system worked. Did it work or not? Will Telin enjoy a life with not 1 but 8 Faelins dancing circles around him forever and ever. We shall see in the next patch. Stay tuned...

Went with some of the crew from Valorious to PoN to start collecting ingredients for the Small Clockwork Talisman, got the Congealed Bile...(getting tired of the only two ways I can get out of a bind is either Ranger Gating or Gate Potions, both of which, after all costs considered (Pristine Soulstone/Rez vs. Gate Potion) are about equal).

Did an LDoN with some of my guildies as well, noted that I got about the same amount of AAs as a normal MM, but got like 41 points from it and...guess what...you can die in these...remember dying?...and you actually do advance combat skills and learn how to fight your class and skills...(/ranton if I see one more fairy tush I think I will erupt and go psycho and send Mithril Champion Arrows up every crevice I can find.../rantoff). I think I need to explore the LDoNs out a bit more.

Started to snoop around Freeport, hate the place actually, I am from Surefall Glade and I hate the grit and dust that Freeport seems to seethe in every corner, but hey, something is amiss...(waiting for patch in January to start story line...I hope)...

What did I do this weekend...not much...but I will try to do better next time...

I thought having the warrior pull was a zonewide mob invite to camp by design?

Well, for starters, I returned to EQ from WoW (well, playing both for now) a few weeks ago :).

Lots of changes, and lots of things the same. Apped to my first real raid guild after grinding 67-70 and 26AAs in 2 weeks. Stripped my alts of all cash and gear to upgrade little Stubby (and buy the MQ he needed to finally complete the lightsabers). Then hit my first Time Raid and snagged a flag :).

Friday saw my first trip to KT and Yxtta. I had to sit outside KT for awhile so I could get gimped in, but was fun. Got my butt handed to me by that primal bug thingy, but our bigger tanks picked up and took care of it (I'm getting placed as SA quite often, which is kinda nice for an app, even on some of the harder stuff).

Saturday we did a try at the Circle of Drakes mission for DoN. Was (I guess, my app started on 1/4 :p) the first time we had attempted it. Was fun and we lost ><. Did pally epic 1.5 fight in Vxed and I got to tank the mob as SA since the MA went down in the first round. Tried the DoN again and failed.

Sunday was off for RL stuff. Monday I skipped out on WoW raid for EQ (since I'm apping, I didn't want to have 2 days in a row out of the game). Grinded awhile in Thundercrest with some guildies then headed for the DoN mission again...more ouchies :( (halfway through the 5th wave is where we're losing, almost there).

Well, that's it. It feels nice to be back, there are things that I didn't (and don't) like about EQ, but there are many things I missed as well. (EQ community > WoW community in general)

To jump in here, this is entirely untrue sorry fellow ranger, for xp MMs > LDoNs (I have 3 1420 pieces on my ranger, well used to have that junk) But for quicks aa's go MM's.

He never said it was as quick as an MM, he just said he got the same amount of exp. There weren't any specifics given to the average level, or if he cleared the entire dungeon or anything so to jump to the conclusion that it is entirely impossible for him to have gotten as much exp as in an MM is a bit premature. He's also level 61 which can affect how much exp he gets in an MM vs. an LDoN.

At level 66 my chanter got about 4/5ths of an AA doing a hard LDoN last week grouped with 5 level 70s. I think get about the same, or possibly less, doing a fairy MM.

That said, your statement about getting some of the quickest AAs through MMs is pretty much true from my experience as well, though.
