Why? it doesn't matter what class you play at lvl 70 you should :
a. have a passing knowlage of how aggro works
b. know that in order for people to help you, you're best staying still
c. know to follow the puller when he says "move up" or "OtM"
d. know that if the group leader says "don't move from here i'll pull back to here", that it means exactly that and you don't aimlessly wander off.
You're right, their is no excuse for that.
What I am talking about are the fine details of each class that only playtime will teach you.
I find it funny you mention agro control and being a druid because agro control as a druid is a very important thing. If you over DoT a mob as a druid and pull agro odds are your going to pull agro ever time your DoTs tick. You learn how heavy you can stack your DoTs and how soon you can start stacking them depending on the tank and the group makeup.
Things like melee classes that should stay at max melee range to reduce agro or tanks turning and cornering mobs.
Its not all about learning your class, its about learning the strengths and weaknesses of the other classes as well.
Its these fine details that really come into play at the higher lvls that can't be learned in a MM.
