Price check on tea leavesFollow

I just came back to EQ (yes, again) and found that my druid still had about 29 tea leaves he foraged somewhere in the karanas. I handed them off to my bazaar mule and then searched the bazaar for tea leaves. One person was selling one tea leaf for 100pp. Surely that is not an accurate price for them. Are they really that valuable?

Next, I ooc'ed a price check in the bazaar. A while later, no answer. So, I asked in general chat (or newbie chat or something). No answer.

I am on Povar/Morden Rasp, although a ball park figure on any server will do. Thanks for any help you can provide.

EQEcon.com price check (all servers average):

Volume in the last 31 days: 61.100 pieces
Lowest: 0pp
Highest: 500pp
Value: 35,2pp
[sm]Value is a single price calculated from all price data for that item in the past 31 days.[sm]

Bookmark added. Thanks for the info. I am sure I will be using that web site alot. (I am both a bazaar junkie and a tradeskill addict. Terrible combo. Leaves almost no time to actually play the game!)

I will have to bookmark the site as well.

Welcome back, Elne CLare and I just started characters on Povar.
Right now she is 13 druid and I am 16 shaman Jonwinnie.
Say hello if you see us. (Im not normally up or on at 4 am est however.)
Having just moced to the server I can say prices are a bit different from that of Emarr, and anyone who has been away from game may be in for a suprise.

Well, I am at work right now. Can't play at work. Don't have much time to play at all, but when I do, it is usually from 0930 - 1400 est during the week. On the weekends, could be any time. If you see Sawsha running around, say hello. If she likes you, she might give you some free enchanted jewelry!

Yup...on MS they go for 100 plat.

I think the reason being they are used in making the Qeynos Afternoon Tea and there are alot of Sub-combines for it. People are willing to pay that just to get to through the Skillups.

I know I fish in East Karana and Forage them at the same time.

Welcome Back btw!

Hi,

That is really high, we used to sell for 20-40P on MR. You can forage them in EK.

Wonder what the Tals tea leaves and other ingredients for stat teas I forage in Natimbi go for on your server then. Hmmm, maybe I should stop making and selling the teas and just sell the leaves and such.

Gayle,

I think thats just it....with so much work just to make the final combine, Most people would rather spend the plat instead of more time invested in gathering the components.

Welcome back, again. A point that you might not be aware of is the fact that SOE is now watching for auto-foraging using game pads and such, so if you had previously been tempted to set this up, you might want to think again. Personally, I'm neutral in my opinion of this enforcement since I long ago learned to link my forage butting with my right turn key, and just plow away, but I also know a few folks who have had their accounts temporarily closed for leaving a toon on overnight auto-foraging. As for the leaves, I typically see them for about 50pp on Druzzil Ro, but they have gone up as per the previous posts due to demand; cost and demand at it's finest!

I am generally not one who likes to cheat. But say I wanted to get my fishing skill up, or needed to forage a lot of one particular item, and that is all I needed to do at that time. MAJOR boring.

So, what I have actually thought about doing was sitting something on one of the direction keys so that my druid keeps running in circles, all the while foraging. I wonder if it is possible for SOE to tell the difference between this and the game pads you mentioned? More importantly, is this also something they would suspend you for? I guess both methods are equally wrong, but how would they know I am not physically sitting there holding down the direction key to forage while watching tv or something? Or is that still a suspendable offense?Do they at least send a message to see if someone is sitting there, or just suspend you on the spot? Is there someway to tell how the message is getting sent on my end, ie game pad or key press?

I really don't feel like getting suspended. But I also don't feel like sitting there for 3+ hours a day holding down a direction key. And I really really don't feel like sitting there for 3+ hours a day holding down a direction key, only to get suspended for it.

They send you a tell. If you answer you are there, if you do not answer you are afk. I used to skill up swimming while afk, while swimming into a corner, now I do not, because I could not answer the tell.
