Where's the "It's been so long ago, I can't remember for the life of me" option?!

well it been so long ago i cant remember where i got on the boat to the overthere.
being a halfling druid at the the time on my way to the lake of ill omen, i knew i had to jump ship, swim for shore and cast invis type spell, in order to complete journey.

just to continue this because i started, the boat zoned while i was otherwise engaged. if older players remember no buffs survived boats. i sailed into the outpost naked(buffs) and very visible. dark elf guy started to object so off i ran blindly.

up from docks i hit a small town but i was aggroing all the way.
no sow no pok book and no idea where i was going.
saw the final message.

dead to a golumb.

back in rivervale and no idea how to get to corpse.
will not bore you with rest but the rest is what i think the game now lacks.
my 2 cents

The game lacks running for hours to get somewhere only to lose your corpse and not know how to get it back?

Frankly, I'm glad that's missing. Sounds like that would really suck.

Some druid.

Jump off the boat as soon as it zones and succor, sheesh...

If you didn't have succor, dont go.

As crazy as it seems, I agree with you Hardaar, there is much less excitement now adays. If you die, just go to guild hall, seems way too easy.

Ahh, what a thril that added. Running all the way from everfrost, getting to butcherblock, and then seeing a message..."so and so begins to cast.." nothing like that fear anymore. Smiley: grin

It lacks this being a possibility. The point is not that this is fun but it cannot happen anymore and therefore has negated the thrill of exploration, travel and trying to stay alive.

Everquest is the same as a console game now. Just reload at your last save point.
