Ok that's a pretty cry-baby subject line, but I sometimes feel like that.
It seems that I am the only one in my guild who cannot get the new audio alert things to work. No matter what I do I can't get the buttons to not be grayed out.
Here are some of the problems:
1) buttons are all gray, and stay gray no matter what I type in the character string field.
2) there are no "sounds" on the what people tell me is supposed to be a drop down menu in the sounds field. I see that there is supposed to be, but there are no names for sounds. I'm told there is a whole list of different sounds to choose from.
3) in the set field my only choice is "default."
Here is what I've tried so far:
1) doing an advanced, complete file check (I have all the expansions).
2. checking my EQ folder to see if there is a file there called nosound.txt. A guildie told me that that file could have been the problem. I don't have that file in my EQ folder
3. doing a lot of whimpering and whining in guild chat.
BTW, I have the same problem on both my computers. Which makes it even freakier.
Does anyone know why this might be happening? or can you think of something else to try short of reloading the whole of eq. :P
I belive this "feature" came from a patch and not the expansion, can anyone confirm that?
HELP!!!
