Wow, this has to be the most thoughtful post I have ever read! I can agree with not telling other classes how to play their toons, unless they are being complete fools, but come on.
Let me guess, you must play a Paladin, Bard, Monk, Chanter, and Shadow Knight? Therefore any class that YOU don't play must be some easy, unskilled, free-loading position that's just a burden on your skilled, hard-working shoulders? Is that how it is?
I personally only play casting classes. Do I run around and talk bad about melee classes? No. Do I talk down idiots that make sweeping generalizations on forums without any facts, or even logical thought to back up the garbage they are posting? Yes.
From a Druid's perspective I find myself having to adapt to many roles depending on the group and situation. Let's see I can main heal, crowd control, pull, choose when to evac the group from a unwinable situation, and even sit back, relax, and DPS sometimes.
If that's your idea of "unskilled" you probably just started on some ebay toons and have not figured out how the game works, or you're still in Paludal Caverns and making your observations about level 20ish characters.
Anyone with a computer and a subscription can play any class they like. It take lots of experience playing a toon to play it in a "skilled" manner though. All classes take skill to play well, since they all have their strengths, weaknesses, and roles they have to fill to contribute to the group or raid they are in.
I apologize to everyone except Baron for blowing up this post, but I hate to let blatant stupidity ride like that.
