After a year off in WOW land , I came back and restarted my Epic quest. I have everyting up to the Elaborate Scimitar. I went to Rathe Mtns to get the Corrupted to spawn. I rooted my first HG and ........every dot and dd spell I threw at it was resisted.

Has something changed here ? I don't want the loot , all I want is the epic drop. How the heck do I do it now ?

What level is your druid?

If you're high enough to be able to take out HG's no problem, there is the possibility that someone had charmed the HG you happened to attack first. And they may have buffed the heck out of it for charm killing, and when done gated out. It's a slim chance, but if you're high enough to normally take out HG's no problem, that's the only thing I can think of. Did you try to go after any others, or did you just give up after that one?

Sorry , I should have mentioned my level.

64 Druid with lots of mana and wis. I solo in the Planes all the time so that isn't an issue. And to answer the other question , I only tried the one as I had to leave for work :(

I went to rathe the other day to try grabbing a few lambent stones and yes theu have been majorly changed. I guess in an attemp to keep people from farming/KSing the HG's they have turned them into belly casters. At range everything I could throw at the HGs was resisted, including my debuffs which is extremly rare.

In order to land a spell you have to be within melee range. As a 64 druid that shouldn't be a problem. Just run in, root, snare, drop your DoT's and move onto the next. They will drop just as easy as before.

Edit: Also I suggest setting up an autoforage macro while your there. The 2.0 epic forage is extremly rare so might as well get started.

I believe the HG's are belly casters now. In order to land spells you'll need to be within melee range.

bleh...i really need to read the above posts first huh.

Is auto forage still an option? I thought with the changes recently, they removed the "macro" section on key definitions. I know mine quit working. Any advice on a different implementation?

Oh man i forgot they nerfed the HG's sorry that had to come to that man. Those of use who are desperate for cash love to farm them i suppose. I've seen the corrupted spawn many a time in the mountains and most folks will throw up a /ooc about it. what you could do is help some of the peeps kill HG's and just have them let you loot the ancient rock

As far as autoforage, I havn't used it in awhile so I'm not sure if it still works or not. All I know is that getting the 2.0 forage from rathe took forever

Autoforage still works, I have it linked to my up arrow so whenever I go forward I forage
It is something like
/doability 3
/pause 10
/auto inventory

and then linked to my up arrow.

I hope that helps!

I read somewhere that the belly caster thing was due to the zone being changed to a 'city' and was an unintentional nerf, and will be changed back.
