Naggy and VoxFollow

#1 Nov 11 2005 at 11:43 AM Rating: Decent
One of the things that got me interested in EQ was a write up on a Nagi raid. So since day one it has been a goal of mine to do both Nagi and Vox. Prob is can't find anyone interested in doing it that has any raid skills or anyother experence with this raid.
So I am hoping some of you more experenced EQers might give me some good advice as to how big of a group and tatics to take these two so I can set up my own raid. Assume a bunch of noobs with no raid exp. But also players that have earned there way to lv 50 ish I have about 8-9 plus me that have shown intrest.

Lesson 1:
Vox

Lesson 2:
Naggy

Sorry to repost old stuff but I couldn't find the Alla post from a long time ago I stuck these in.

In all seriousness, though, my guild attempted Vox a while back (a few expansions ago). Back then AE Fear was the biggest problem becuase it broke heals. So our two or three tanks would eventually fall because enough fears landed to make heals miss.

Make sure at least one healer and one tank have the max stats veteran reward running and you should be good to go.

Your biggest challenge then will be what to do about the adds in the dragon's chamber (which include healers). I've heard about groups figuring out how to single pull the dragon's minions without aggroing the dragon itself, but that seems tough. We sort of accomplished it out by having someone pull the mass and root a minion, then succor themselves to lose aggro. When all the minions head back, someone grabbed the rooted one.

Or, with modern gear and abilities, maybe just charge in and assign a few people to deal with the adds as their first priority.

Trablin, I'm a lurker here. I hardly ever post, but i noticed you are on Tunare. There is an independant body of people called OWD(Old World Dragon) woh raid Vox and Naggy every week and welcome anyone level 42 to 52. I believe there is a permanent chat channel called OWD please feel free to stop in chat or visit there web site at http://p209.ezboard.com/bowd29373

Hope this helps
