Experience in different expansionsFollow

Morning all,

Was wondering around in the hole last night working on level 54 and thought of a question.

Given a level 40 mob (or any level mob) and the experience it gives you:

Would this level 40 mob give you more experience in a zone released with the latest expansion? Or would it be the same experience if you killed the same level mob in, for example, West Commonlands.

I know there are some factors like ZEM, Hot Zones, etc...

The reason for my question is this... The Hole still gives awesome exp @ level 53. With my "Double EXP" bonus thing, I was getting 4% of an AA ability with each kill. This was with all experience going to AA and not towards level 54. I was killing the warriors and crusader monstrosities. About 50/50 Dk Blue and Light blue.

Plane of Justice gives roughly half of this with the same effects going on. The Mobs in PoJ are higher in level and hit much harder. However, the experience was much less. PoJ came out after The Hole.

Now I am just confused.

Hot zones can't reallt be counted when it comes to comparing certain areas. Hot zones were made so that people would want to go to a particular zone. Normal zones do not have a true xp bonus like hot zones. Now ther are areas that seem to give better xp than other zones like when they come out with a new expansion or ad a zone. Most of the hot zones seem to be unused except fror echo caverns and Palaudal. Since the hole is a hot zone though it's in a totally differnt class. When i was 55 i was hanging a bit in PoN and GE. Ge seemed to give better xp and the mobs hit for far less. I'm not sure if GE is a hot zone but it sure gave great xp. Also don't forget that the hole is a dengeon so there is an even bigger bonus.

bummer, that Samatman (our ex. ZEM guru) only plays WoW these days...

secondly there are hotzones, where you get double the exp. (iiric).

The Warrens 5-25

Netherbian Lair 15-30

Echo Caverns 20-40

The Scarlet Desert 30-45

The Tower of Frozen Shadow 30-45

The Hole 40-60

The Grey 40-50

Howling Stones 45-60

The Halls of Betrayal (Chardok B) 45-60?
