Hello all!!! Bear with me please?I am a very old man in a young person's world & I surely do need a lot of help...(BTW- MY wife is Zoelee & we try to duo most of the time because we are old & slow...he he Perhaps we are the oldest living couple trying to play this great, intricate game-our total real life years=150! We play for fun & for MENTAL AEROBICS! (fighting off Senility!) My char is a 57 Druid with 33 AA's to date & excellent-decent- equipment. I just joined this site's Premium Membership -yesterday & I do not know how to use this very fine site to the fullest. FOR Example: Would some fine player tell me SPECIFICALLY how to go about uping my char's stats??? How can I apprise my equipment against other available Equip.?? I have failed miserably with Magelo--never got it to auto upgrade..Have given up on that after many hours.. Any help would be greatly appreciated... SoJo

Need to see what you are wearing now to give good advise.

I am shooting for Masters DoN for the visible slots, which has nice mana regen among other things for druids.

Here is my set-up.

Kiki's book is an easy quest.

I need to upgrade as well although I would probably shoot for stuff with +mana since my wisdom is maxxed even without KEI.

Most of the stuff I have that is not quested/dropped was found moderately cheap in the bazaar. Lots of OoW drops are cheap these days. Master's + augs for DoN are not cheap, but the price of the armor is coming down, especially for popular races. I made my armor and had someone else make the augs with my components.

We also did just quest for the DoD aug in Corathus. Pretty nice +15 to stats after doing all the tasks. If you do this one, get a rogue goblin shroud.

Edit: Magelo is updated post DoD

I cannot see what gear you have currently, but please feel free to click the "Galladril" link at the bottom of my post - that is the link to my Magelo profile, might give you some hints.

In the meantime, I would STRONGLY suggest hunting in Ubmbral Plains for Elysian armor - drops off of disturbed Elysian remains. They have a lot of HP (18k or 30k each, IIRC,) but the Elysian stuff is packed with great AC, a lot of Wisdom bonuses, and some killer stats - even though I don't really wear it too much anymore (have upgraded a lot of my gear,) I still have a full set in the bank, for use as "stat armor" if I need.

Good luck!

I cant get my magelo link to upgrade itself either. You can however put all your equipment in yourself and it will help you both in communication on this site and looking up new equipment. you can add/change equipment on your megelo character to see what it will do for you. The should have the site updated soon to work with the new EQ expansion.

I know very little about druids but here's a couple of things.

First, magelo is very nice when it works. Unfortunately sometimes it doesn't work. The magelo automatic update hasn't worked since Depths of Darkhollow went live because of a lot of changes. Don't give up on it, the owners will get it going eventually. Allakhazam's premium has something similar to Magelo. If you follow the link on the left that says "Your Characters" you can create a magelo type profile on this site. One nice thing about using this site over magelo is you don't need to switch between sites to look for gear upgrades.

As a general rule of thumb, try and max your wisdom first. After that, get items with +mana. Third thing to work on is items with +hitpoints and finally items with +Stamina (stamina converts to hitpoints). Other stats are fun to toy with but when looking for gear upgrades this would be my suggestion.

Something to keep in mind; don't judge your characters gear against other's gear. This doesn't mean don't look at other gear, just don't try and measure up. If I did that poor ol' Tweelis would have been deleted long ago. Play the game to have fun, that's the most important thing to judge in game.

G'luck and have fun out there.

one thing i've noticed lately is that Monk gear is now Druid wearable. The stats on my monk alone are strange. He has 151 wis when base is only 75 which means that without even trying I have 75 points of wis on me. Also there are some nice new weapons with crazy stats. The delightful orb of forgotten magic has 15 wis on it and a proc of 320 which for you might not be that useful but it could come in handy. Now on the aspect of comparison of gear that is a fun way to kill an hour. I just look up items by the slot class and max price then i look through the list by right clicking on my item and the one available for sale. if the item has say 2 more ac but 5 less str and dex i might not buy it becasue 2 ac isn't worth the loss in other stats. For your druid though you want to worry about wisdom and mana and if possible mana regeneration. Mana regen is going to cost you an arm and a leg thoug so keep an eye out. I'm rather poor so i make due with what i can afford anyhow. i may see 10k everynow and then but that gets eaten up by spells. hope this is useful info
