PvP ZekFollow

I am thinking of Starting a toon on Zek. Just to see what its like. Is this a waist of time if you are not going to bring in a bunch of Plat from outside. or don't have a guild to twink you going in. Any hints. I wouls like to start as a Pally and I know they are pricy. I was told the best way to break in was being a Nec. but I really prefer being a Pally. Plus there are already so many Nec already on Zek. Also are there any guilds that would be willing to twink me to give me a chance.
