Prayers are going out for anyone in the path of this monster storm, they have named 'Katrina'

This monster has grown from a cat 3 hurricane to a 5.5+ and expected to get stronger. With sustained winds at the momment of 165-180 mph and gusts 200-220+ this is a CITY KILLER
and they are warning that all wooden buildings in the direct path will NOT survive this.

Please if you are in the path of this GET OUT

After watching interviews with people staying in the path they don't realize just how bad this storm is.
This storm is the strongest storm the USA has EVER seen. please seek shelter as it hits land in the morning.
The gulf water is 90 degrees + and that is what is making this storm worse as it get closer to land.

After having this same storm go right over my head Thursday night as a barely category one storm, I really really feel for the people in New Orleans.

I am very sorry this is happening to them. This is literally the "worst case scenario" that everyone hoped would never happen. I seriously hope whoever lives there is able to get out. My thoughts and prayers are with you. That thing looks so fearsome on the satellite picture.

Mother nature will not adjust what it does around us, we must adjust what we do around it. I just hope there is such a thing as "New Orleans" tommorow afternoon.

when they said the hurricane was a cat 1 in early stages it was going same path as Andrew in 1992 was it?..it hit us anyway..katrina i mean..they said it only went to cat 5..it was brief though..then it morphed into a bulldozer and ploew through New Orleans...I pray for safe recovery...and that any other hurricanes won't run through it again...=(..i also heard it flooded because the levis broke
