OK, im a 54 shammy now and i havn't stoped to get one AA yet, however, i do read alot about it and have a fairly good idea what im going to go with in what order.

Im wondering if im crazy or what but every single post or anything i have ever read on anything about AA's is to get RUN SPEED 3 as soon as possable. This is rediculous, if you ask me, as a shammy. I can cast SOW....Run 3 is slower than SOW, why would i waste 3 AA's on something that is slower than SOW?

Ill take the extra 8 seconds to mem and cast sow on myself and use the AAs on something i can use.

Run3 works indoors. It doesn't take up a buff slot (1 of 15). It can't be dispelled. It will never wear off and need rebuffing.

Main reason why you would get Run 3 is you have to have 6 AAs in general Run 3 and Regen 3 are about all there is unless you desperately need Wisdom

One other thing is that to spend AAs at the next level (above General) you usually have to have spent 6 AAs in General first.

Run3 is equivalent to Shrew (LDoN spell), but Run3 doesn't take an effect slot, is always on and can't be debuffed, while Shrew/SOW do take a slot and can be debuffed plus SOW is an outdoor spell (Shrew can be used indoor or outdoors).

There is also an AA added with Omens(?) that allows one to have more effect slots (the first at 51) though it costs 5 AAs.

Best I can say is to look over the AAs and note which ones you want to do and their order (the next level of AAs requires being level 55, though there are some from Omens that can be done at 51).

Blaze your own path, my first shammie AA (at 62 for single target 7, and the mad healing per second upgrade that was tnarg's before the chloro upgrade, 61 for the pet/leopard or lower for mob cons works too) was the extra spell slot.

There's a very good reason. SoW has a nasty habit of dropping at just the wrong time. When you're running away from some nasty, you don't have 8 seconds to stop, mem SoW and cast it so you can run faster. Also keep in mind, that there is a two rank upgrade a little further on, that you cannot buy if you don't have Run 3. That gives you a 50% increase in speed.

Besides, you have to spend 6 in the general area first, before you can spend any in the middle tab. All the stat ones are useless, and I'd avise you to stay away from them. There are only three there that are really useful. Run, Regen and Metabolism.
