Ok.. What would be a good place to farm plat for a 55 sk? I have been farming ice giants in everfrost (rathe 1's no longer spawn) /cry theres only 3 there (spawn time not too long tho) but is there any place like rathe with more then just 3?

Go to ocean of tears and farm cyclops

According to a previous post the HGs moved over to the valley on the oppsite side of the path where the Paladins camp was. Not verified though. Ocean of Tears has Gornit and Seafury Cyclops, Crystal Caverns Geoids, Dulak Harbor, Rats in Dankir Scar. These all have decent loot for the level of mobs mostly gem drops.

While this probably isn't the answer your looking for, gain more levels...

The relative value of what you can farm increases almost exponentially as you level. At level 66, I can *easily* get several hundred plat an hour in coin drops alone plus around 10k+ in bazaar sellable stuff in a 2-3 hour session (basically until my KEI wears out usually). The bazaar vendor stuff is a bit random, but over time it does average out very well.

At your level, you're pretty much stuck soloing stuff for coin. There's some vendor stuff you might be able to hit, but nothing particularly high-value. You can certainly do tradeskill stuff, but not at much better profit rate then you could do at level 10 (just maybe faster).

One thing you can try though, which might suppliment your income is the remove curse spell drop. There's a mushroom in EC (the side behind the hidden wall in SH) that drops the spell about one time in 4 kills. As a tank class you *should* be able to solo it at your level. Check the bazaar since the price can vary wildly, but I've consistently been able to sell them for 1-2k each over quite a time now. It's a 3 hour respawn, so it's not something you should camp. What I do is just check it's room when I log in, and when I log out. I kill it when it's up. It's not *huge* cash, but it take like 3 minutes to do twice a play session, and adds a bit of cash over time. At my level, it's not a high-ticket item at all, but it's still worth the time. At your level, it's probably one of the best money makers you're likely to be able to consistently get ahold of.

Another alternative. If you have the OoW expansion. Kill mobs in DS. There are lots of mobs at the top area, and just down in the valley a bit (hug the left side IMO for best areas for your level). They randomly drop augs that you can sell in the bazaar for anywhere from 4-10k each. And you'll likely still get some experience while doing it as well, so that can be worthwhile.

There's probably lots of other spots as well. Sea Furies in OOT drop gems quite often, which you can turn into cash very quickly. PoJ basement mobs also drop tons of gems as well, but might be a bit tough for you to solo depending on your gear. You wont get the huge payoffs that way, but it's nice steady money.

At 55 I would also recommend Crystal Caverns as a cash cow. There are four or five camps: Upper/lower orcs, spiders, geonids and/or terrors. Depending on how crowded the zone is you can camp one area and then nibble at another while waiting for repops.

The geonids and terrors basically just drop cash and vendor fodder. The orcs drop velium and the spiders drop crystalline silk, which you can sell for good prices in the bazaar. If it is quick cash that you are after, then hit the geonids. The jewels they drop are all vendor fodder, some of which sell for a couple hundred plat.

Remember to do a camp check when you zone in, as this is a popular zone for farmers. But most of the time at least one of the camps is available.
