How far have you been in to the Tower of Frozen Shadow?

Never been:180 (11.3%)

Love this zone and remember exping there in my 30's on my main a few years ago. Took me a further 2 years to get the final key........

I tried to climb the thing on levi yesterday, shame is that couldnt reach the very top because of ledge in front.. then went to try the same on Kurns, but before I reached the very top, invisible zone wall came, saw, and humiliated me. =(

Been to 3rd floor on some guild raid years ago, which seemed kinda lousy if you ask me. =p Tried going there few days back, but after wiping second floor twice didnt still get key, so left as lodi spawned.

This is one of my most favorite zones in EQ. I have leveled almost every single one of my characters from 24-45 in this zone. I remember when i first discovered it with a group of friends, we tried for MONTHS to find that darn 8th floor... sadly we never found it =(.

Heheh I remember soloing my way up the tower.. the mobs were light blue to green, But I wanted to make it to the top of this tower... Took quite a while.. Got some average loot... And finally managed to get my freaking masters key!

One of my most favorite zones. Great story, mobs are fun and it's an actual crawl, not just sit in one spot and pull.

Definitely one of EQ's top zones. I have a lot of vivid memories of sessions here spread across many characters over many years.

It's also been a Hot Spot for quite a while, which means it's currently not only a great fun zone but a great place to level up in the 30s too.

heh i went there a month or two back just to see how far an enchanter could solo up the tower... and i found out that i own =). making it to the 7th floor took a while but only because i had to wait on spawns. i didn't even use a pet until the 4th floor. on th 7th floor i decided to spawn tserrina...... i didn't just own her in normal fashion, no i destroyed her by charming the chanter epic 1.5 mob that's at the top of the tower just before the mirror room! i brought my sk there and did it a few more times just to get him the item i wanted =P

I went as far as the fourth floor, I only stopped there cause I couldn't get the damn enraged beast to spawn after 7 cycles, so I gave up

Back when I played my paladin (and a bit when I played the shaman), our guild would make regular runs to the top to smack around Serrina and claim the key. There really wasn't a reason, but we all like the zone, and the exp wasn't bad, especially when you have a 65 epic bard pulling and slowing swarms of critters.

Master's on my bard and my lvl 52 Shadowknight got up to 6th this weekend where I finally found some blue con mobs. Zone is more crowded than I remember though -- I blame this poll Smiley: grin

While a fun crawl and fairly unique as far as dungeons go, it suffers from the same fate as most of the old expansion zones: very little of value drops in it these days. From top to bottom, there's pretty much nothing in the zone you'd bother dropping on your lvl 30 twink.

I have been to the sixth floor but me a 53 necro 52 pal and 2 others got our buts kicked by the key holder we killed him after losing the other 2, pal used lay hand and kill him i grabed the key and gated before the dang bats killed me. i have not been back since.

Easiest way is to take an LDoN Magus to N. Ro and run to the docks. Tell the gnome there "Travel to Iceclad". It's one island over to the south-west. To enter, there's an arch along the eastern side of the tower that looks like it's filled with static. Just click it. Watch out for the snow guardian thingies outside but it's pretty easy to just run past them and zone in.
