Guildies were in a full group, so I figured I'd mess around for a bit in Rathe Mountains.
I accidentally started my shaman epic while killing Grizzlies in RM for skins. I stumbled upon the bandits there, and sic'd Kebartik on one with out even thinking. (Having a pally main instills certain habits upon you. Killing every bandit in sight is one of said habits.) As soon as puppy hits his bandit, a named cutpurse come running out at me, who promptly drops, and a true spirit spawns. Oh well, I guess that gem can sit in the bank for 17 levels, untill I'm ready to start, lol.
Got a tell offering a donation for healing and a haste. I was amenable. (After all, I'm in RM for the money, whether killing HGs, or farming pelts/skins, *or* taking donations for buffs)
After much pleading I decided to stay for a bit, although both characters were red to me. Healing them was like firing a squirt gun into the ocean, although with my haste, slows and DoTs it was obvious from watching health totals that I was contributing.
I hung out for awhile and made some plat, but eventually I had to politely duck out. It was irritating to me that I had to explain the concept of a "place holder" three times, and that I had to run across zone to re-SoW the overburdened warrior - who was coming back from selling. Also irritating was that I used half my batwings to constant requests for levitation.
Eventually he turned split off, after the group members asked him not to, and I saw that as my cue to say good night. At level 33, the experience there is actually pretty good - when I'm solo. As the group grew I was seeing less and less experience, and turning off split was just the final straw.
Most irritating was that I was infuriatingly close to 34. I should have stayed solo. Live and learn, right?
Logged to trader. I've started a new habit of trying to find under priced upgrades for my characters, buying them, and adjusting them to the price of the market. If no one buys them from my trader in a couple of days, they end up going to the character for which I bought them.
