First off you need to decide if you want to group or solo.

If you like to group with others then about every class will offer great gameplay and fun, so pick whichever strikes your interest.

If you like to solo the choice get abit more complicated. If you like to melee then there is only one choice a beastlord. Almost every caster class is effective at soloing but druids and necros really stand out (necros are the most self sufficient class in the game IMO).

Also you may want to look for a guild that is recruiting newbs as that will be invaluable for a new player.

IF you have any other questions please post them people here love helping new people.

hmm you will find the game vastly better on pc

There is a huge tutorial for the first ten levels, with a lot of equipment and mini quests and chance to get into grouping and such. After that you will be ported to Plane of Knowledge, a safe haven, with more start up quests including armor quests.

I would highly recommend a solo class. It can be somewhat difficult once you hit about lvl 25ish to get a group now adays.

Also another word of advice would be make good use of the tutorial. Id do every quest you can find in there and spend time getting the newbie armor. After you lvl 10 you can do some more armor quests for your back, ears, shoulder, etc.

And don't sell spiderling silks or bonechips to merchants, those are worth money to players :p

Every time I look at merchants in newbie zones I find 100's of bonechips.
