This has been driving me nuts. I have a channel from an old guild that I once set up to autojoin that no matter what I do to try to stop it from auto joining it doesent work. Does anyone know how to stop or remove a autojoined channel?

I thought every time you type /autojoin <channels> it set the autojoin to those channels and cleared the old ones. So if you typed
/autojoin chan1 chan2
and then
/autojoin chan1
It would set your autojoin to chan1 and you would no longer autojoin chan2.

But I'm not sure about that.

I think there is something in the options/filters. I unautojoined those channels SOE was kind enough to give us awhile back.

edit it out from one of your ini files

maybe it's eqclient.ini.

try this...

/leaveall ====> leaves all channels..

/autojoin . ====> the period is important..

now rejoin /autojoin the ones you want to keep...

Just leaving a channel doesn't matter. Also, the system set channels recently added have nothing to do with the /autojoin command. They can be set and unset in the options window (alt-o and poke around a bit).

The /autojoin command takes a "list" of channels as an argument. It copies this list to one of your ini files (no clue if it's the eqclient.ini, or one of the character specific ones). In any case, from that point on, anytime you log on, it will automatically /join those channels.

Just run /autojoin, but pass it a new list of channels that you want. Or, just put a "." in it (as suggested above) to make it an empty list. /autojoin "" might also work. Leaving the channel only removes you from that channel during this play session. Once you log back in, it'll reappear if it's in your autojoin list.

In options, under general I believe, is the tab about 3 or 4 from the bottom that you click off to leave those. /autojoin will take care of it each time you play, but clicking that tab will keep them off after you log in again and again.

Sorry for the necro post and the following whine........

I dont care very much about Karma hear on the site, but I will admit to being happy about acheiving scholar status. Now if I was a jerk and got a rate down or just gave bad info and recieved a rate down I earned what I should have then. But to loose scholar on a post thanking everyone fro their help is a little messed up!

OK now I earned a rate down for whineing about karma.
