Permafrost, any advice please?Follow

Greetings :)

my Wizzie (43 seasons now, just got conflagration - yay) is about to do the "staff of temparate flux" quest, where he needs a "heart of frost". well, and as I never hunted in Permafrost before, I thought I bug you

I already know:
- only goblin wizards in permafrost drop it
- most people suggest hunting the jail area
- I should buff up with resist

my question now, is there anything special I have to keep in mind?
1 - wanderers,
2 - wizards HP?
3 - aggro:
. social
. do greenies attack
. range
4 - anything else?

You shouldn't have any problem getting that item. I remember getting it for another quest (can't remember which, its been a long time). My toon was a bit higher lvl than you, but from what I remember, most greenies did not attack. That doesn't mean they won't attack you, really depends on lvl. The wizzies don't have a lot of hps, but they will cast some nasty dds. At your lvl you should defaultly resist most. With resist buffs you shouldn't have much to worry about. The best place to loot the heart is that big room of gobbies before the doors to get to the ice giants. Its not that far in, and there are plenty of gobs there to blast on. Root... blast... dead. Shouldn't take you more than a few minutes to get one.

Just a thought.....keep an eye open for the Ice Giants.

If there are any higher levels playing with them their pathing is really weird.

Was in there once and I guess a Higher level had to run....all of a sudden there was a giant head popping out of the floor near the jail and he stomped me but good.

fortunately the business dinner got cancelled, so that means I can start in 2 hours.

PS: Dot, you surely meant gate, not succor, right?

FYI: got the heart last night. took all in all about 2,5 hours, the 3-rd Goblin Wiz had it.

was fun though. although they conned green (and I was full mana) I still was a bit scared... tonight off to Sol A (again...had to gate out, as I got swarmed when LoM...).
