After taking a few months off from the game and still having limited playtime, I'm trying to level up my alts some to catch up to the rest of the guildies. I'm at a spot where my main is usually a touch high in levels and my alts are a touch low. Rather than necro-saccing my bard, I though levelling my rogue and SK might be the way to go Smiley: grin

To that end, my rogue got into the worst pick-up group (in Sebilis) I've been in for a long time. It included:
  • The wizard who took a 45min AFK to drive her husband somewhere and to "clean the ants out of her car" (Smiley: confused)
  • The paladin leader who said "With all this DPS, we don't need a healer!"
  • The monk who cried whenever we killed anything non-frog because he needed the +Guk faction
  • The ranger who never snared
  • And the mage who I have nothing in particular against other than it took her 40min to return to Seb from PoK after dying.

  • We spent so little time actually fighting that we didn't need a healer since I summoned Steadfast Servant who kept me in HoTs and haste for the half-hour we spend actually using our auto-attack keys.

On a more positive note, my SK spent some productive soloing time in Lower Guk, getting about a level and change (48 now). The change in spells to "One every level" plus the change in merchants so the scrolls are sorted alphabetically instead of per spell level was a bit of a pain but whatcha gonna do?

    Friday.
Got keyyed for Tower of Sol Ro and went there (just cause we could, thanks Joph). Admired the foyer decorating for a few minutes then left (via port).
    Saturday.
Had to leave later so played around with Beastlord getting her to 17. Anyone know how to single pull explorers in LoIO (without lull hehe)?
    Sunday.
Methinks Joph was relieved to have Fortis, Ash, and Dot in a Sebilis group instead of those others. Held the Dining area for awhile. Cook was out sick. Resisted lulls proved to be some excitment but we were not pressed other than that. Semi-sucky bracer dropped from an armsman.

Saturday - No EQ, BBQ at friends house.

Sunday - RS raids. Took out the dogs fast and then onto King. I got a nice little upgrade in a Crystal Silk Robe. =P

Friday: The Grey, for about 2 hours. Wasn't feeling that wonderful.

Saturday: Rathe to do a wee bit of farming. 30 mins, about a hundred plat. Did the drop rate of plat get nerfed or something? Hung out in downtown Chicago for a few hours, went to my friend's party.

Sunday: The Grey for about 3 hours. Made a cool background for my magelo. I cannot access my magelo here at work, so I can't give the link but if anyone wants to see the image, please click here.

One Ding, 5 new spells, and one yellow away from a ding on a different toon. For the small amount I played, I felt I got something done.

Sun: My good friend from Virginia is here visiting, so no EQ. Probably won't play EQ for a good long while.

I haven't done much except pickup LDoNs with my necro, since I want points for my pet focus (EF) and Imprecation (curse DoT, EC). I got one, EF, upper 50s group, failed but got 8 pts for finishing up afterwards. Smiley: bah

The exp isn't all that bad, especially with the Veteran 2x exp.

Went on my third PoS raid (going to Aviak Isle to get a bunch of warriors spiroc wingblades for 1.0 epics) - on fourth Isle, Keeper of Souls spawned and we killed (I was the DT volunteer); And it dropped the Fine Velvet Cloak. My heart almost stopped when I got rezzed back in (as they're so rare - my guild leader has killed him 18 times, or something, and only ever seen one). My first kill, and it drops.

Gnome Necro loots it (whups!) and later MQ's it. Dark Cloak of the Sky is mine! /dances

Turned in tons of alcohol to dorf war supplier in Kaladim. Did not receive anything back (/yawns). Going to turn in more arrows w/RNG main in Kelethin to try to bring back Guardian faction up (it went from indiff to apprehensive after helping kill Tactician after GFay war).

Enjoyed all the discussion on serverwide.war.

Went to sisters, moved her furniture about, went to parental units' 45th Wedding Anniversary get together.

Spent almost the entire weekend factioning in DS. I've been carrying around two drops for OoW armor for months now, and have finally decided to make a concerted effort to finish that stuff up. Mostly because I haven't felt like it was worth doing any other upgrades in those slots since I knew I had better stuff ready to go, so those slots are sadly lacking now.

I think I'm mostly through amiable now (sigh). Taking a long time. Got bored of that and got an invite to a WoS group. What the hell, right? Dinged like 5 AAs and ended up looting a bit for *another* armor piece. Gah! Now I've really got to finish up that faction...

Friday night we did P1-P4 of Time, went very smooth, the bracer I wanted dropped in another P1 (I was in the fire/water team), bah.

P4 is still a good test for us and its great fun for a druid being able to heal the multiiple OTs and nuke and get summoned and enjoy the services of the rez team Smiley: grin

Sunday we did P4 to Quarm. Very smooth again, TA is getting to be a reasonably competent team now.

I love the look of Cazic Thule, its a relatively easy fight but there is siomething quite satidfying about dropping the great brown hulk.

    Saryn is a ***** of a fight.

Berty is another great fight, I realy like this one too, keeps both the druid and the ranger very busy.

Inny is very tough for us, significantly harder than Quarm I believe. Once again the wizzies were tanking Smiley: smile while the rangers finished him off. Thank heaven for our 8 rangers, not that the tanks will ever admit it, but they are the ones getting us through at the moment. (Well the mages help out a bit too. /wink)

Quarm is relatively easy after Inny, with a couple of bards sprinkled through the team and druids keeping the clerics alive (and a super efficient rez team) we manage to stave off the AE long enough to lop off his heads.

A very satisfying weekend Smiley: smile

Friday night, a somewhat abortive Inktu'ta run - short-ish on numbers so ended up just killing Cyno and Kele.

Saturday helped out on a Sky run for someone's warrior alt and various others. Evening with the fiancee, dinner etc.

Sunday - Time raid. I still enjoy the early phases, and the recruits are gearing up well. Went to bed at 11:30, couldn't sleep. Got up and played from 2am to 6am. Wiped on MPG trial of ingenuity (Thats 6-0, gonna crack it eventually) but to make up for it, finally won the neck piece from fear trial later on.

I never got to see Quarm, sadly. By the time Eivi got through the app period, the guild divine rezzed itself after the EQ2/WoW fallout and rushed forward again.

Usual clearings of Tacvi, DoN, Anguish and the occasional MPG trial and epic 2.0 fight. Two mobs remain for us; Vishimtar (working on it) and OMM (haven't touched it).

    Good times :)
