I downloaded the trial version of EQ a month or so ago. I became addicted and went and purchased the Platinum edition. I installed Platinum but I can not get the game to recognize that the expansions are installed.

I tried to travel to Luclin and get the message that the expansion must be installed before I can go there. I uninstalled the EQ trilogy and Platinum and reinstalled Platinum. I still have the same thing happening!

I have no idea what I am doing wrong...any suggestions?

One thing that I did notice as well...I was never prompted for the cd key for the game.

You will need to go into your station account and register the expansions. There is a section under the login page ("account" I think) where you can go to the Sony accounts site and tick which expansions that you have, it will then verify each one.

Its a long time since I did one off disk, but I think this is where you will be asked for your registration key. (The downloaded ones just use your station account to verify and register).

After your patch process at the menu you will have an Accounts button, You will be taken to the EQ website and asked to Log on. Use your current station name and password. YOu will be given a menu to enter the CD key code to activate your expanssions

Once you've done the above, make sure that you check all your files. You can do this at the update menu. Once you start EQ and it patches, hit the Advanced key, then click on all the expansions and click Thorough File Check (or whatever it's called there).
