If any one joins a pick up group expecting to get loot they have rocks in their head.

The majority of people are fair and honest with trash loot and most of the time I find that there will be a ML who takes care to sell and split honestly. But when it comes to special items, augs, weapons armour etc most of the time it becomes a source of agravation to everyone concerned.

I happilly join pick up groups for missions, tasks and pure exp grinds, but will never join a group wanting to go camp for loot. I don't expect strangers to waste hours of their game time to help equip me, and I will not waste any of my game time on unresolvable arguments and being forced to accept the petulant childish behaviour that usually follows from someone not getting what they expect.

Another problem with NBG is sheer ignorance.

I've seen casters with maxed WIS roll on INT items "for tradeskilling". I've even seen a rogue roll on a mana aug "to make my procs work".

In each case no amount of explaining could convince these idiots they were barking mad.

There are also grey areas like DEX for wizards (or isn't that grey any more?) where I'd not like to argue about it.

yet another aspect someone touched on above is tradeskill materials. I've seen someone given all the granite or goblin bones from the adventure "because they do smithing". This at a time when they were selling for 100pp a piece in the bazaar. It would IMO have been fairer to distribute them amongst the group.
