Neriak (Spelling) mobsFollow

When bringing my Ranger back from Natimbi last night and running through East Commonlands, was hit and hit hard from behind, turned around and was a Neriak (sorry if spelling is off) scout and a trooper. I ran for the WF zone line since they both conned red and though did not get exact HP, my health was going down fast.

What is all this about? Some player said Maybe an event, another said Perhaps in advance of new expansion (good guys vs bad guys).

EC has always been the next step in leveling after newbie field in WF. What happens now to new players if these mobs are wandering around. Did I just happen onto a bad moment and they were heading back to wherever?

Also heard that they wander in groups of 5 but I had only 2 hit me.

Continuation of the war event that happened in FV a couple months ago.

My bet is Felwithe ends up wiped off the map.

Last night a few guildies were trying to take a few of them out. From what I picked up on in guild chat there were several level 70's going after them. Only drop I heard about was a pair of rusty short swords....lol

Experimented in EC last night

They hit hard and fast. Melee only, as far as I can tell. They run fairly fast (not as fast as SoE) and start out invisible. Aggro range is a bit greater than normal but they ones I saw did not see invisible. They travel in groups of up to 6 or 8 and are hard to single pull. I managed to pull one out and was kiting near the zoneline with my 58 druid. I suppose with full mana, KEI and having ONE alone I could possibly kill it, but my first attempt I burned up 35% mana and only got him (a trooper) down to 88%. Probably have 20Khp.

a Neriak trooper
a Neriak Captain

were the the mobs I saw. There may have been a scout too.

Wonder when the war will begin.

Had great time in DL with my Pallie. Hehe, died a few times and wasn't even fighting, wrong place at wrong time. Helped rez tons of players and we all had a good time.

Would like to see this one too. We good guys better win this one!

Did pickup a fantastic 2HS sword for Pallie. Everyone was really nice of oocing what loot was where so everyone had a chance to get something useful.

So post if you know when this will take place or think it might take place because this is one player who wants to watch again and hopefully pick a spot a bit safer this time.

My snares worked fine. Only landed one root for about 30 seconds and the rest I tried were resisted. Pally I was with said his roots stuck (he conned DB to my 58 druid). Of course I met him when he was 50%hp zoned out of EC heh.

"inkies" just makes me giggle everytime I read it...

The 2HS is the first drop I've heard of from the new script. Could you post the stats, Gayle? Were there any new ones during the FV occupation? I was gone for a bit during that time.

Another mob encountered was a Neriak Captain, yellow con to level 70. Went to scout zone and the scouts and troopers are all over the place. none see invis, snarable, rootable with few resist, straight melee mobs. followed them as they walked back to stationary point. they are camped next to the orc camps on north wall in groups of 6-8 or more closely together with the Captain in center, constantly changing positions in the formation. watched a level 70 pally with top end gear tank and a druid healing and they have a TON of hitpoints. One last note, some reported they were KoS and some indifferent.

No summon?

Hell, if it's outside, can be hit with spells, doesn't cast and doesn't summon it's got "I want a bard to kill me" written all over it.
