New Task in PoKFollow

Tonight I was in Pok and all of the sudden I got a tell from a NPC called "a concerned Froglok" (I think). The mob is near the soul binder up against a building. In his tell he said something about some trolls in neriak and for me to come to him if I wanted to [help]. I went to him and said " I wish to help " at which point he gave me a task. The task was to go to neriak and find a chest, which I did. I was looking for a Ldon type chest to open but i notices a few level 70 people in the zone so I asked in OOC if they were doing a task and they said yes. Turns out the chest is a drop from a level 70~ mob called the Troll warlord I think. Since I was alone I knew I could not kill him but the group that was there did. They killed the Warlord and looted the chest, then they went back to the froglok and turned it in. Their reward were various potions, most of them were one cast illusion potions but the person I was talking to got a 60% EXP potion for 15 mins! It was like the 6th Anv. one but only a single cast and 60%. They said there were no more tasks given after completion but who know what will come. Sounds like the new world events may be starting soon. Tell me what ya think and what you have seen.

I think this is a great idea. EQ has tons of underutilized or just plain abondoned old world zones. With the opening of PoK to everyone, and the advent of the summoning alter and shadowrest and the implementation of a universal 1-10 zone it makes perfect sense to turn these old zones into warzones. Fill them with new and interesting mobs, inject a new story into the game, get people back into the old world and out of the planes with dynamic quests, good xp, and of course phat l3wtz.

I think this is great for EQ and look forward to this new storyline.
