I hope some of the changes on Test don't make it to the live servers. War is brewing and alot of the zones on the eastern half of Antonica are not safe at all. If you wanted to get some silk farming in EK, I suggest you all do it now.

Don't tell me that we are going to have to give those dark elves another good smacking?

Mmmmm....war is fun...loved the one in Dread & FV, couldn't get enough of it. Didn't like too much how the one in iceclad was handled (as far as event goes) but oh' well, I know a lot who did and got some nice stuff from it.

There were reports that they were killing everyone they saw in EC, EK, Innothule etc including dark elves. My 56 ranger went to Gukta to trade up some cat pelts and got jumped by one on the way back to the pok stone. They hit for 660 max and HT.

Just for kicks I decided to make a Dark Elf that worshipped Innoruuk and they didn't seem to mind him. My guess is that Freeport will be taken over by evil races and the entire Eastern half of Antonica will be evil only. What this means for agnostic evil races, I'm not sure. Of course this is all speculation. No idea what Sony has up their sleeves on this one.

Edit: a little update. Agnostic Dark Elf was also indifferent to the various high level Dark Elves.

Edit 2: Ok tried various combos of race and religion. It seems that as long as you don't follow a "good" god then you shouldn't have to worry. Human and Gnome agnostics were fine, but as soon as I tried a Human Cleric of Errolisi Marr, he was kos.

Here goes my rating..

What is the point of these posts? Test server is for Testing things. Events keep the world going, growing and improving. Every skill, spell, quest, item, tradeskill, sound effect, icon in the game has been changed over the years to make the game better. East Karana is not safe for you and your Herculean efforts at silk farming so these exciting new additions to the game and these testing efforts are unacceptable?

Hmmm, looks like my lizard squad will be spending more time at home where the stinky dark elves won't bother them. =)

I'm just speculating, but if what I'm guessing goes through then this is a massive change to the Antonican continent. This wouldn't be merely a spell change or tradeskill change. You have seen the way EQ2 is setup, right? Freeport evil, Qeynos good. This is the known future of the EQ world. Wouldn't a change like this be worth reporting?

Only EC, EK and Innothule? Other zones, too?
Which mobs? Only Dark Elves? In groups? Which level?
More information, please!

Change could be intresting......a GM event where the Dark elvs come roaring into the commonlands and on to Freeport could be fun.

well, maybe I got you wrong, but I find it interesting, to learn about rumors regarding EQ and events/lore. speculating keeps ye busy ;) so thanks to the OP (even if it wasn't his intention) for the infos.

I was wondering myself, what e.g. this zonewide message I got in Upper GuK 2 weeks ago meant. something like "the trolls are picking up their spears cause war is coming" or similar.

The Trolls? Taking back Gukta/Grobb and driving out the Frogloks?

This is really getting interesting... Smiley: smile

I have personally seen them in the ones I listed. Reports are that they are in most zones in Antonica. I've heard SK, Rathe Mts, Nektulos Forest, W. Commonlands, and North Ro and maybe others. In EC there are roving patrols of Neriak Captains and Troopers. The Captains I believe are red to 65 and hit for at least 845. My little bard was killed in 1 shot. :( Not sure about the the troopers. There are also invised (rogue?) Tier'dal Scouts wandering the zones that I've mentioned that were red to 56 and hit for 600ish. I'll let you know more as I learn more.

Edit: add Kithicor to the list.

Edit 2: add North Karana. In all these zones invised tier'dal scouts are wandering the zone. You can actually run through a zone but they have such a large agro range that you likely got agro and won't even know it till you stop for a couple of seconds and get wacked for 650+.

The Dark Elves here are KoS to everyone, even other Dark Elves. Unless there are other Dark Elves that have kicked the Light Elf Rangers out.

Not much change to Kith if there are high-level mobs killing everyone hehe...there always was!

You do know that you can't rate other posts with a rating of less than 3.00, don't you? I can't imagine any other reason for you to have been lurking around for so long, unless you're mentally challenged. If the latter is the case, I apologize for busting your balls in the Ranger section.

I was on live yesturday and zoned into nektulos only to stare at a dark elf that hit me HARD. Not sure how many HP's, but I immediately hit the book and was back in pok at about 30% (1100 HP with temp on) So they may be starting on live now.....

I don't trust that they'll be non-KoS to iksar (especially since my sk has slaughtered her fair share of the evil ones). Like I said, we're staying on Kunark till you crazy elves sort this stuff out.

I say this because during the War iksar were KoS to the dark elves.

Are you talking about the Rogue epic mobs? They are still there. The new dark elf mobs that I'm talking about are very red to 56, hit for 650+ and wander most zones in Eastern Antonica invised. They attack all chars that follow a good race.

My poor little froggy wizard was squished by one of the DE Scouts in Innothule. Twice even! Never saw what hit me. Annoying in some ways, but interesting to see something dynamic happening for a change. Luckily, the frog was only level 11, well, then 10, so nothing major lost in the process.
