Does anyone know of a link/guide to how to 2 box? Like: is it practical on a single computer( alt/tab ), any software to help make it easier, do u need an uber machine to handle 2 toons ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

hey is the way of 2 boxing
1)get 2 computers
2) start one of your characters & HOLD DOWN CTRL + ALT + DELETE ( not main one the small one) & let go & start eq again & log on you 2nd character
WARING: you need to have a good video card & atleast a cably motem to do it in a raid,high end mobs ,high end mobs in groups
WARING 2: DILEUP CANT ( I REPEAT CANT) be in groups or raid,high end mobs ,high end mobs in groups

Thanks for the input. I will open up a second EA account and experiment. Should be fun. I assume that cable modem was meant. I have DSL and it seems pretty fast.
I ran 2 EQ accounts on 1 pc this weekend, just trying it out. I have a pretty haus pc with a gig of ram and a decent video card. I recieved a Windows Virtual memory notice that windows was low on VM. It did play, however, with no problems except the notification. After I received the message I closed down one of the accounts and just loaded the other account on my laptop. Just a warning though of the possibility of a crash.

ya cable motem hehe sorry i have bad typeing when not looking at key board
With a P4 3.0 Hyperthreading in HT mode, 2gb memory, ATI 9600 256meg Video Card, AGP App. set for 256, and a programable USB keypad I have run 4 accounts at a fixed camp spot without any problems using EQ-windows. You will have to get everyone to the camp spot before you can operate 4 on 1 computer but once there works fine. Only reason for the porgramable keypad is the character selection is easier having a name on the keypad and letting it put in the key sequence of Ctrl+Alt+#. Also with EQ-Windows you have the choice of Tile or Picture inside Picture for other accounts.
