Hey there, got a quick question about graphics cards. Does anyone have an opinion on Gforce vs. ATi vs. Intel's Graphics accelarator(comes with the machine)

Agreed, moreover, I believe SOE and Nvidia have some sort of deal that allows their games to run optimally exclusively on Nvidia cards. So, if you're only going to play Everquest, I'd recommend something by Nvidia.

Of course, I use an ATI 9600, personally, and that works just fine.

I will never give up my ATI. IMO they are by far the best cards on the market when it comes to graphics but the downside to ATI cards, or moreso the drivers, is that they are extremly touchy and many times unstable. If you really know your way around a PC get a Radeon 9600 or better. If not, go with Nvidia.

I run a Radeon 9800XP on an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board which has an Nvidia chipset so I get the best of both worlds Smiley: grin

There is a problem with the Navida 5500 FX series graphics cards and motherboards with the Intel chipset. Causes your machine to reboot on occassions during intense use. Other then that series Navida has a great track record with EQ but the New ATIs are very good also.

Radeon 9800 XT AGP - Bought it when it was brand new, paid over 400 for it, have never looked back. You won't either.

ATI all the way.
