It never seems to happen while I am actively playing.
But I leave my trader up when I go to bed or go to work (or try to anyways) and when I come back there is always some message about how eqgame.exe crashed and Windows is asking me the typical "send an error report" question.
Is anyone else having this problem? It only started doing it recently and has put a serious dent in my chash flow.

I have been having the same issue as well over the last few days. Hopefully the next patch will fix. I am not sure what is causing the crash. I never had the issue before.
well this hasnt happened to me lately but about 2 years back i got kicked off lkike that ever 30 min. or so. even when im logged off eating or somethin.
I have had occasional crashes lately on a brand new stable machine that had no problems till about two weeks ago. Client/Comp/LDs

I have had the same problem what I found out was in the middle of the night I was doing a Windows update via the automatic updates or my Anti Virus was doing an update. EQ doesn't run so well when your computer goes to a secure site on the internet.
The forgotten scheduled program is exactly what I was thinking as I read the first post. Anti-Virus scans or updates that are scheduled to run at night are often the cause.
