Best/Worst GM EncounterFollow

Lets hear everyone's best and worst GM encounter.

Heres mine:

Best = I was a part of a GM event in Castle Mistmoore where the GM actually took on the form of Mayong Mistmoore. He whooped up on everyone that came in the castle. Every time we'd die, we'd recruit more and more people from the surrounding zones. I don't know if he ever died, but was a super experience!

Worst = I fell under the zone of Dawnshroud peaks. I was about 100 feet under the zone. It was like it was a whole different zone underneath. I could see the terrain, mobs, and PCs walking above me, but there was no way I could get out. Took 6 hours for a GM to respond to my petition. All he had to do was summon me to above ground.

A couple of months ago, three GM's took the forms of horses in Butcherblock. They were looking for some food. I gave up some vegtables with no avail. Finally on the advice of a friend I went and found some hay. This worked and I ended up with some nice gems to sell!

I've been stuck before, instead of petitioning, I logged out and join the #stuckcharacter chat room on the login screen. I was able to get back to my group in about 15 mins. Seems to be much faster than waiting for a petition to be answered.

Best: Some level 50s were blatantly KSing my level 24 druid in East Karanas. After the third 'mistake' they made I /petitioned. GM showed up in less than 5 minutes and told them to leave.

Worst: Wasn't in-game but from an on-line SOE helper. I was having problems with the Guild Menu not showing correct levels of characters. He gave me a bunch of things to try including deleting .ini files. Thanks a lot. Not only did it ***** me up worse, the guild interface is still unfixed and everyone knows it has nothing to do with client files.

Best = As a baby rogue I saved up for several weeks for a range item. I finally scratched together a few hundred pp and was overjoyed to see a Scorpikis Claw Impaler that was right in my price range. I snatched it up and stuck it in my range slot then raced to shadeweavers to try it out. Not knowing how much damage it would do i picked a safe green little chiterling and hit the ranged attack button.

You have become better at throwing (1). And my range slot was empty. A sick feeling crept into my gut. I ran over to where the bug was still happily clicking away unphased, Nothing on the ground. In a full panic I zoned, figuring some game bug was causing it not to show up, Nothing. I raced to Allakhazam to find out how throwing worked, to my horror I found out that once thrown an item was gone! I had thrown my toons life savings at a level 1 beetle! It wasn't on a string, I didn't get unlimited shots, it was just gone. Everyone's opinion was that since it wasn't a bug, and the game had worked just how it was supposed to I was SOL.

I petitioned in misery and without much hope. Hours later I got a tell from a GM. I explained my story and he said he would have to do a little research. Dejectedly I went away. However, when I came back I was overjoyed to find my impaler back safe and sound in my inventory. I haven't thrown anything since.

Best: Gnome ball event. my team won and each of us got a SoL raid level gear. I got the helm in my bard's megalo. even the lossing team each got a most expensive horse.

Worst: fall for 20k from PoK elevator; petitioned and no reply for days. ended up just eating the death.

Best - Ikkinz raid 2, door opening thingy correctly combined, but not opening door (bugged). Occurred three weeks running. Eventually we contacted GM before raid and told him what time to turn up

Worst - Entire guild barred from Dawnshroud Peaks, because one guildee killed a train dropped on him at ME zone, and got accused of KSing. (Kind of tough on us, as we were working on VT keys around then)

Most interesting - Emperor Ssra warped to zone in. Serverwide message saying Emperor Ashigaru (moi) has now been returned to his appropriate position. GM had targetted wrong %t I guess....

The only time I had to work with a GM was when I got stuck in a lake and ate a death. Didn't get the XP back but he said thank you for reporting the bug and how to get out of it the next time. I guess it was the polite personal side of the conversation that made it good.

Best I can't give one most all my petitions have been good I have petition ohh maybe 6 or 7 times in 6 years. I have gotten gear back from my own stupidy been helped out of some nasty spots.

Worst was a recent petition about DoN Crystals was trying to purchase my first DoN augment nobody in the zone responded to my calls for assistance so I petition a GM, sat around for 5 and a half hours waiting when I got an email from a GM telling me to submit a bug report. GM had no respect for me waiting 5.5 hours for help didn't even bother to send a tell. This ticked me off so I petition again about the GM and about 2 hours later another GM sent me a tell summoned me to Lavastorm and assisted me getting the augment, Then sent me back to my group took less then 5 mins.

Best for me: I had to log off in a hurry to go help my wife upstairs with the baby and just hit camp instead of /camp desktop. When I got back downstairs my 3 year old was sitting at my desk and I saw a message up on the screen "Are you sure you want to delete this character?" I was like "Ack, NO NO NO". That's when I noticed it was on one of my alts, my necro. I check out my list... my bard is gone! She was just clicking on buttons trying to get her freakin' Blues Clues game up and ended up deleting my main toon. I immediately logged in with an alt and sent in a petition, then logged off. The next day, my bard was completely restored and I had a stern email about being more careful with my account.

Worst: Can't honestly think of any at the moment. I haven't had too many run-ins with GMs over the past 4 years. Maybe it was back when I used to chant and swarm kite a lot... I've gotten at least 3 tells from different GM's, just "seeing how you're doing"... they were really making sure I wasn't macroing. I guess that's actually a good thing though, cracking down on macroers. I don't know.

Ran into a bug with the Turn-In NPC while doing my BoT key quest. /Petitioned and got my item plus a response within 2 hours. Also, when the chanter epic 1.0 was bugged, I got my Jeb's seal back when the NPC that I handed it to wouldn't give it back. This was returned to me within 4 hours.

Only ever had to /petition twice in five years and both times I had good results.

Worst-I got ported to a zone at the time I didn't have installed. Needed a GM to do a walk out for me. Took 3 days or so. In all honesty, not really that bad but it's the only GM story I have.
