I think the op was talking bout in game marriage? If so, my wife married in game and I don't think it cost any PP for the marriage. Just get some guildies to bake some cake, and get a couple of cheapie rings for it.

disclaimer: Marriage is a wonderful instituion (just like an asylum) that I have been admitted under my own free will (?) for 8 years now. And if my wife reads this post...."Im just kidding honey!,,,,really!"

Didn't cost much plat, just some time to organize.

EqMailed wedding announcments to both our guilds and all the peoples on our friends lists with the usual where, date, where to meet for punts or ports to the Arena.

We got married in Sanctu Saru in the Arena, the Balconies were full of people. We all /join Wedding channel.

Had some druids and wizzys to be the taxi service.

Had Bards to play music for us..

Invited a Cleric to perform the ceremony. I still believe he casted Wake of Tranquility on us....

Invited a GM to get the last name changed quickly.

We gave away lots of wedding cake and beverages.
Had a procession up the aisle with the bride and a guildy to "give the bride away".

Did a ring dance, where all people try to move in concentric circles around the wedding couple. Overhead view was a must, but lost the screen shot. It was really cool.

Had a scavenger hunt, a couple of duels with prizes for the winners.

Then played Zone Chase and laughed as wedding guests tried to keep up with the wedding couple as we tried to sneek away for a Honeymoon Adventure in an instanced zone.

Got lots of wedding presents. Uber loots!

Dyed my armor for the wedding... then promptly dyed it back afterwards.
It was fun. Go for!

Which brings us to the existential question: what is this "free will" of which you speak?

Hey, instead of going through all the trouble of a wedding and the inevitable divorce, just get it all out, right from the start, and give her half of everything you own now (if you have pets, she has custodial rights). Then find someone else and do all over again. :D
