What's a 50 to do?Follow

I've read many of the nostalgic posts about EQ. I also miss the game as no other game since gives me the sense of entering a different world like EQ does. It was my first online game. My problem is when I return due to nostalgia, I don't know what to do? My "main" is a level 50 ranger. None of the people I used to group with are still there. There don't seem to be many active guilds accepting level 50s. I can't find any good quests which I can do solo and I'm tired of killing griffs in Jaggedpine. I would love to return to the game if someone could point me in the direction of some fun things to do!

DO you have to have the Dragons of Norrath expansion to use the task system? I have not played in some time.

I think tasks came with OoW. Although new tasks were given for those who have the DoN expansion.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

The DoN missions are full of nasty little runners. Snarers aka Rangers are once again "needed"

A 50s ranger hanging around Lavastorm shouldn't have too much trouble find a group or two and rebuilding a network.

The tasks, whether they are OoW tasks or DoN tasks are not soloable by everyone. DoN has a fixed set of tasks, and if you are too low (or not a good solo class) you won't be able to solo them. The OoW tasks change as you level up. However, at higher levels they become increasingly unsoloable.

For example, at 49, my chanter was given the task to kill 10 scalebones in Burnt Woods. That one was a great task. It was difficult, but not impossible. Once I dinged 50, I went and got another task. It told me to kill 10 wyverns in Skyfire. Well, it's not easy to solo wyverns as a chanter. That one was impossible to do. Even my druid (who solos well I might add) had trouble with some of the higher level ones, and couldn't solo the DoN tasks at 62 or 63.

I agree with them task are good and start u epic is two but i think makeing new freinds can help u alot better i buff my self with all the 70
