2 accounts Same boxFollow

#1 Jun 11 2005 at 7:36 PM Rating: Decent
I recently had a system failure and had to reinstall EQ and my 2nd account on a new hard drive. First normal EQ install went fine, however the 2nd account install to a directory outside progam files directly to c:\ drive would not run when I clicked the EQ game icon within the folder I forced the 2nd install to go. I was able to run 2 accounts on same box before with no problems. I only use 2nd account as bazaar mule. In the big scheme of things its not that important. However she is sitting on 40k I wouldnt mind mugging her for. Any ideas or comments on what I was doing wrong?

I am really stumped as to what I did wrong. I installed, the first EQ, Kunark, Velious and Luclin on 2nd account

Any helpful hints would be great.

Instead of doing a second install...make a copy of the first and change the name, then all you need to do is put in your second station name and password in.

Yes, just copy and paste your entire Everquest folder and rename it. Make 2 shortcuts on your desktop that point to each EQ folder. This way, your login and UI are saved seperately for each account. I play 3 accounts on 1 PC. I installed EQ only once and copied and pasted it twice.

Very Interesting,

Can someone tell me how you are running 2 EQ windows on one PC? I play with the small screen view and it takes up more than 1/2 the screen. I am no comptuer gu-ru by any stretch of the imagination, but I can get to where i need to if I have some decent instructions. Maybe a link to a program or something. Thanks !

It's built in now, no need to run another program. You alt-tab between the two instances.
