What is Kiting?Follow

Can I just start by pointing out that this and several other of your posts in the Quest Forum would probably get more attention in the EverQuest Forum ? The Quest Forum is really only meant for questions and answers about in-game quests - not the general gameplay questions that you have.

That said, in answer to your question about kiting ... it is a technique suited to only some classes (druids, wizards and necros come to mind, tho there are others) by which you fight something without being close enough to be hit by it yourself (you stay/run back from it so as not to be hit). Various spells help, particularly snare and/or fear spells, altho they are not strictly essential to the technique.

Quad kiting is kiting 4 things simultaneously, using a damage spell that hurts all four as they chase you around. The damage spells you would use for this technique only affect up to 4 opponents at a time; this is why it is called quad kiting. The Library at the wizard Graffe website (www.graffe.com) has an extensive guide to quad kiting.

At 66 you shouldn't go to PoI it's horrid EXP you should kite in PoV HoH, Fire or RCoD
