Nope, you need do nothing. The merges themselves will be transparent to you...so, you login, and notice a lot of guilds and characters you don't recognize. That's all.

If you want your character on a different server after the merge, that's when you need to use the /movelog command.

Sigh.. Stromm has lots of more people on.. well.. most of the time. Was 90 in POK at 1 PM Central.. but 190 at 9 PM.

Unfortunately, seem like we got the rude people transfering over. Much more whining about prices in bazaar and lack of buffs. Oh well.. cant do much about it.

1. Make sure you have no "lost" toons on the other server. If you do empty the shared bank on one account.

2.If your server will have a new name, after you know the server nickname used in your .ini files, you need to change them to the new server name, to have your UI, spells, friends, etc. come up.

Yeah...I just realized I had to do that for my toons staying on Veeclin as well as the ones going to Poven Rasp, on two computers. I guess I should fix my gf's chars also...

OH, and my server transfer took place overnight. Did /movelog around 10pm, woke up this morning and it was done!

Two more days to merge time. I am not real thrilled about the name change. I thought The Rathe sounded cool but then they switched our pair up with Betroxxolous. My youngest son is teaching me how to pronounce. Someday I may even learn how to spell it. LOL

I can't wait to get my toons from Cazic Thule on the same server as my other toons. You know you are addicted when this makes you feel like you will be seeing and old friend.

I have characters on the new merge of Sol Ro and Bristlebane...the toon I usually play on this server is experiencing the same problem as before the merge...finding a group.

I also have characters on the Nameless...the merge there did help with this problem quite a bit...even with my odd playing times I can just about always find people to group with.

It was complimentary per server - I moved my toons off of Vallon to Morden Rasp. Then, when Morden merged - I moved them over to Cazic.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the server merge. Lots more to group with, and just generally move lively. Yeah - bit more lag I suppose, but I think those two things will go hand in hand.

I checked out several servers after the merge, not including Zek.

Commonalities;

Populations seem to be more or less equal. Typical evenings ranging from 175 to 215 toons in PoK any given night, on every server i checked.

All servers have alot of Ex-Zek gamers who seemed shocked at the generousity found in a Blue server. Their return generousity was most welcome (I still think they are all plotting my demise though) and have provided a new flare for dueling that seemed near extinct last year.

More GM events

Newbie zones are way over-camped, which has resulted in some rumor about there is no such thing as a camp or KS'ing. (Again, thanks Zek gamers for your generousity in reminding the noobs why KS'ing can be UGLY!)

My 2cp (Mostly a complaint, sorry) I thought the servers were all too crowded before the merge. I like the slow exploration that once might have been found on Povar. It saddens me to hear everyone so ecstatic about having no trouble finding a group, simply because i know the default method of how they want to level-level-level-level to 70 and forget the game, there's raids and epics to do!! Not typical of everyone, so if it doesn't apply, just /ignore last.

The flourish of everyone wanting to start a new guild, on top of more big raid guilds on one server, led to lots of disestablishmentarianism.

Bazaar has gone to the birds as i have noticed a huge increase in the multi-boxing auctioneers that spam their own prices up, as well as increased snot-nosed kiddy comments "If you don't like my price don't buy it, somebody will" But overall alot more gear is available.

MGB's gallore, never saw a MGB temp until after the merge, kudos on density mass there.

I ended up sticking with Maelin. I have to say the Vazaelle folks are much nicer on the average, made a few new friends from it. But it is much harder hard to find an open camp until maybe 3am. It's a pain to wait in line for an epic drop now. I have daily issues with people KS'ing me, which i take with a grain of salt and a laugh. Enchanter's have for the first time, mezzed a PH my group was camping, and kept it as a pet for over an hour in hopes we would leave so they could take the camp. I never saw so many level 65+ farming in level 20 zones, but then again, i never had so many level 65+ willing to help out a noob alt toon. I still think it's aweful, and that there should be an instanced PoK instead of PoT with this next expansion. That would make me smile to see the collective crumble into more clandestine pockets of society, resulting in a better roleplay environment, which the oversized merge populations has definately delt the fatal blow to.

Final Note: the roleplay server has always been a joke. Just a place to twink the gear you can't twink otherwise. Oh yeah, and since when did elven become the common tongue? I hate elves, they're worse than roaches... With that in mind, with more people, more items in bazaar, more twinking, more PL and raid farming, what destiny stands before us?

Now go away before i taunt you a second time!

Prexus/ TT.

Immediately after the merger it was horrible. Massive ooc Spam arguing/ bashing.....Native server only groups.... a real mess. Different fundemantals in charging for buffs {Donations(Prexus) vs. Set prices (TT)} which incited more /ooc spam. Hot zones now over-ridden with multi-boxers that won't group. and so on and so on.

Now, one month later roughly, it is smoothing out. I see less multi-boxing in hot zones and more and more group opportunities. I think it is safe to say that both Prexus and TT peeps are coming around and it is starting to become fun again. With the instancing of PoT (time) I think it will only get better.

So to recap for you, very rough start, and finally coming around to becoming a very enjoyable server that it once was. I am glad, mainly due to LFG time frames were getting out of hand pre-merger and if you didn't 2 box....GL lvl'n up a non-soloable class.

Prexus/TT here also.

There was and still is a little bit of bickering concerning certain differences. Especially that ONE PLAYER we have on TT that charges set prices for buffs. Hater lol. It is only one person and the negative and hating spam concerning them has been around long before merge :).

It is really nice tho. Met tons of really cool Prex people within the first few days. TT had a serious problem with being able to score buffs before the merge. I remember sitting in PoK for hours waiting for a kei on my mage. And Prexus people seem to be addicted to MGBing and casting to help others out, which makes logging on so much more enjoyable. So after all the nonsense of the first few days died down, the prices settled down as well as people's tempers and it is turning out to be a positive merge. Even coming from someone like myself who spoke only nasty things of this merger idea before it happened :).
