Still looking for the part about plat or item selling for real money but I am pretty sure it is covered too.

From the Everquest EULA (boldface added):

Quote:
9. You may not use any third party software to modify the Software to change Game play. You may not create, facilitate, host, link to or provide any other means through which the Game may be played by others, such as through server emulators. You may not take any action which imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure. You may not buy, sell or auction (or host or facilitate the ability to allow others to buy, sell or auction) any Game characters, items, coin or copyrighted material.

Now that you have the time and the money from selling Plat, use both and take an English class.

Good Gawd!!

After all its not fair that someone who can only play EQ 5 hours a week can buy a nice sword for his toon. He must settle for fine steel and like it. Where as the jobless “got no real life” moron living in his mom and dad’s basement and playing 80 hours a week has God like characters in the game. How many of you have ever camped an item in the game so that you could twink a alt or sell it in the bazaar for PP? IT’S THE SAME THING ON A BIGGER SCALE. This guy and all the other PP sellers out there just run a bigger version of it. So STFU and quit acting so “holier than thou”.

Hopefully this was meant to be sarcasm. Otherwise this is yet another case of the "You have nice gear, therefore you must be a jobless loser living in your parent's basement" argument. Let me say that nothing could be further from the truth.

I have a full time job, wife, kids, take Tae Kwon do classes, and still have managed to get a pretty decently equipped character. Yes I play more than 5 hours a week. Usually 12-20 hours. Rarely ever play on weekends, those are strictly family time. My guild raids start about the time my kids go to sleep.

This is what I have managed to accomplish with my main character:

... xaanru... You're a cleric, ofcourse you can get good gear, you can make 10k/hour by camping PoK.... I couldn't do that anywhere, in an entire day, simply because of my class... and don't give me any lvl 70 crap, clerics can get about 1/2 that when they get temp...

Wow, you are really thick-headed aren't you? Did you even look at the gear closley? 90% of Gbaji's gear is No Drop...even if he did make "10K an hour camping PoK" he wouldn't be able to buy that gear anyway.

Wow, just...wow.

I wasn't really aiming the coment towards his equipment, but more towards the fact of what he could do by siting in PoK with KEI. And being rude gets your score lowered, if applicable.

That is total crap.
10K an hour. Pfftt

Lets see 15 to 20plat per Temp if lucky and most have a Guildie that say they are and this is their alt so you cannot charge.

I cast Temp and Conviction ect.. buffs for 4 hour and make a big fat 2000plat after casting 200 Buffs. AND that is on the absolute best day if lucky. Normally its more like 750plat in 4 hours (Only 50% of which pay me)

That is 800 Hours worth of CLR buffs just from me running around.

Also many CLRs MBG just for fun buffs anyway.

I am sure other classes can get alot more plat and Exp solo'ing in UP, ME, BoT ext... then I can buffing for 4 hours in pok anyday.

I stopped Selling buffs a long time ago it is not worth my time.

Selling res'es is impossible because they are free to guildies and if its someone from another guild they problly died in a area you have to spend 1 hours resing them. Which pays 200plat at most. Then they hate you after because you charged them and your a "Lucky CLR". I solo and make more then 200plat a hour.

Every guild has a CLR bot camped in the guild hall at summoning alter anyway so no money to be made res'ing anymore.

I prefer not to sell buffs or res'es anyway because its not worth it or it make a bad name for yourself.

This seems to be the opposite of low.

And trust me, nowadays a cleric CANNOT make that much platinum selling buffs/rezzes in PoK. I routinley offer Temp (no donations required) and rezzes (same, rez available, no donation required). I rarely make more than 1k per night, about 90 minutes of buffing/rezzing.

My cleric can only cast temp. 10K per hour even hawking virt is a bit of an exaggeration. I think I made 500pp in an hour once,(mostly because someone gave me 100pp for 2 people and 2 pets).

If I sat in PoK for hours on end, EVERY DAY and built up a steady clientel, I might be able to approach 10K per hour selling virtue, but who wants to do that? (itemstore got a new career for ya...)

Well dude it is very funny you said you did not the rules. Are you sure nobody told you before this is wrong or told you to stop spamming in bazaar and that selling items was against soe rules. If you said yes you are a GD liar I know I have told you at least 10+ times myself and even had a conversation with you about it and warned you if a gm caught you or got enough /report text on you would be in major trouble. I warned you now like a adult deal with it and learn from it and move on because there is nobody here that fells one bit of pitty for you.

There is not one item on my cleric that can be purchased in the bazaar, except for augments. Plus, as several have pointed out, 10k an hour selling buffs in bazaar is a gross exaggeration.

I go /role whenever I am even near PoK, to avoid buff requests. All the plat I have made is from selling item drops or tradeskills. There is nothing I have done to earn plat that you cannot do.

Now, why you felt that you needed to cuss at me for disagreeing is beyond me. My only point was, you don't need to be some sort of unemployed basement dweller in order to have good gear.

BTW, you could EASILY make 10k in a day, farming magnetized armor and upgradable augments in DS. I have done so with my 62 monk in less than 4 hours.

If this doesn't do it for you, do some DoN missions, and sell the crystals. a typical mission pays 30+ crystals, which sell for about 300+PP each, for a net of over 9k per mission, not counting the plat from the mission itself. Until they nerf it, the gimblax mission is doable in under an hour, and pays 33 crystals per person.

My lvl 62 Cle makes at the most 400pp an hour casting temp and virtue in PoK. I would say 75% pay less then 40pp for vir and many pay 0. I do not have a set price and accept only donations.

This thread has gone on long enough. He is guilty of what he did and was banned. Let the thread die along with itemstore. Smiley: banghead

Eye Gee Eee was recently featured in some major print media. They have offices in New York Miami and Hong Kong.

Eye Gee Eee recently acquired Themis group, a company that works legally with many MMORPG developers in marketing and customer service.

The success of the company is growing exponentially and publically acknowledged.

How are they able to avoid being shutdown for illegal practices? Is what they are doing really illegal after all?

I wonder the same thing. Seems like SOE would be aware of this and many other plat selling companies. It seems like they would have the legal right to shut these guys web pages down. But go to google or yahoo and search for plat for sale in eq. Hell, I have even seen plat sellers advertised right here on allakhazam.

If the cops want you to stop speeding in a certain area, they will put up a speed trap there nearly everyday for a couple of months. People see other people getting pulled over, and decide it is not a good idea to speed in that particular area.

If you want people to stop selling their accounts or plat, shutdown these web pages. Show people that this type of stuff will not be tolerated.

The cable company has this same problem with people stealing cable. Why not? I worked for the cable company for over a year, and you know what we did to people stealing cable? We disconnected them, then went to their door and tried to sell them a cable package. If we had of showed up with a police officer and some handcuffs, I'll bet we wouldn't find anymore people in that neighborhood stealing cable.
