Plat sellers, plat buyers......Gutter scum all of them. Ban them or publicly flog them! Perhaps a public flogging in bazaar, take all their possessions and dole them out to newbies then ban their sorry asses!

I have sold several pp to some players, I take it for granted that it was legal for I did not understand the game rules and also see some large-scale websites, e.g. “www.i Ge.com” also sell pp. so i do it. If i understand the game rules , i can use

You got banned, and Sony was right to do so.

"I didn't know" is no excuse.

Go play something else.

Actually, he said he was baned... Is that something like being cursed.. Smiley: confused Smiley: smile Smiley: grin Smiley: yikes

By the way original poster dude, I noticed that no where do you deny selling plat. What do you want those of us who have openly stated we dislike plat sellers/EBuy players to do? (IE the bulk of the players who pay to have premium membership on this site.) Support you?

This will probably get me roasted, but what do you all suggest somebody who is leaving the game do with their account? If they had a high level toon they worked for years on why should they just give away all their gear and get nothing out of it? They may have paid alot to keep their account active during all this time and by them selling it only seems right. It's like buying a car. You pay for it, spend time working on it and then when you're done with it, you sell it. Same goes for buying a used car. Is that wrong as well? I myself haven't bought an account or anything at all. I like exploring the game and doing stuff on my own but I really don't see anything wrong with someone buying stuff online.
#38 Mar 31 2005 at 10:29 AM Rating: Decent
It's not a car and it's most certainly not an investment. If you want an investment, don't invest in things that are bits of memory. And people who've just started playing EQ need to **** off vets with new characters to learn and grow, not their mains. If you want to make an investment out of an account you pay monthly for, play Ultima Online, it maters less there.

Yes, it is obvious the OP is not a native English speaker (or writer). As bad as the US Education system is, I think most 5th graders can do better. I wont disparage non-native speaker's attempts to communicate however, hence I appreciate the clarifications.

Having said that (what did he say??), I am not sure which is more ironic:

itemstore getting 10 accounts banned for plat selling on one

or

itemstore posting here looking for sympathy or help

Haha, he wasn't looking for sympathy. He was looking for someone with a lot of EQ knowledge, that wasn't connected to SOE, and could perhaps tell him how he can get his 9 non-plat selling accounts back.

He'll get his accounts back when monkeys fly out his ***.

He broke the rules, now he gets to pay for it. He knew it was wrong, yet he did it anyways.

I point and laugh at him.

You're an idiot. You claim you didn't know it was against the rules? You've seen the other popular sites that sell pp and accounts you say?

You knew that if you put the actual addy in that it would get filtered though. Now, why would it get filtered? Obviously you've been reading these boards long enough to know that it would be filtered (it wasn't edited to get it to show) and you've NEVER seen us talking about this subject? I call bulls**t and am pulling your freakin' punk card on that one. You knew what you were doing. You knew it wasn't allowed. Get over yourself.

I too think he reads these boards and I think the one with the banned members who discovered and reported an exploit, and had all of us outraged on their behalf, and starting a thread at SOE, and eventually they got heard. Perhaps he expected that outrage on his behalf as well. As if!

I think he had more then 1 account that was selling. Reason being he said "well maybe 1 but not all of them". In any case you got what you deserved. No sympathy here Smiley: glare

i didn't read all posts but i think one other thing is forgotten the 10 accounts not only banned becuase of emial the same but credit card and cc name, if he was really dumb he used his own on all ten, which could mean he will never get back in with his info.

Ignorance does not mean innocence. Just because you can't be ***** to read the rules and the EULA that you MUST AGREE TO EVERY TIME YOU LOG IN doesn't mean you can get away with breaking it.

You can stop trying to justify yourself now, it's not gonna fly. Time to cut your losses and move on. I hear you can scam millions of isk playing Eve.

Ok, put me in the "no sympathy" catagory.

He's not sorry that he broke the rules. He's sorry that he got caught.

I'm glad too, that SOE is going after plat sellers. About time. Make an example out of 'im! Smiley: glare

You want plat - go mug mobs.
