I thought I go to the new hotzones yesterday. Grief's end lvl 50-55. I entered and got 3 mobs on me hitting 170 fast and got plauge which is a lvl 65 bst spell. 1200 dmg over time. rofl! That zone is hot! So hot I got burned... Stay out until your a big group or lvl 60+.

Anyone else been there?

At 50-55 you better have a full, well buffed group, and fight near the zone ready to run at any time. It is one of my favorite places, the loot is great, the action keeps going, illusions happen. At 61 I wouldn't go there alone (though I am a bit timid).

I have not been lucky enough to have a group that got too far inside. Has been hard to get groups to go there, and now a gazillion people will be there

I dinged 50 last night, and the pop-up window actually suggested that I go try Grief's for "fun and experience." Yeah, sure...

being level 25 I went to hollowshade and had a great time. Actually dinged 26 in about 1-1/2 hours! I am still amazed at the vastness of the zone and how easy it is for my buffed pet to stomp red cons. I am realizing that Necro's are extremely good at soloing.

If my pet is getting bashed all I simply do is get aggro with a nuke and run around in circles (with a sow of course) and let my pet beat the mob from behind. If pet gets aggro again then I simply nuke again and repeat. If I get hit then I simply Life Tap and back to full health!

Brillant!

Of course I am new at this game so this is all new to me. It was the first time I have ever been to hollowshade. It is a great zone!

/applaud SOE for getting me off my duff and exploring the vast land!

They could save people time and just have a pop-up asking if you want to be sacced down to 45 and have a stack of essence emeralds appear on your cursor.

Were you in a full group?

This harkens back to the guy complaining a day or two ago that "Runnyeye is tough to solo in at 20". No kidding? You're not being sent there to solo.

I've done Grieg's lots of times with the little warrior. It *is* a great place for the level (though, at 50 it may be tough). Mob levels will range from about 52-53 at the entrances, to ~58ish deeper in.

Of course, you *will* need a decent to strong group at the recommended range, but it is quite possible.

One *HUGE* bonus about GE is that nothing on the main pathways will see invis. There are a couple see invis mobs in the side rooms (seems random, only sometimes I have run into them, and never on the main path from DSP to SD, DSP to Greig safe are, or DSP to SoL safe area).

Plague is also a level 49 shaman spell. This zone has a lot of casters, including shammies, necros, and wizzies.

When I was about level 30 or so, I decided to do the quest for the Foraging Machete. One of the items needed was from the Scarlet Desert, so I started making my way toward Grieg's. I'd never been there so I decided to pop in and see how far to the SD it was through the zone. The first few mobs I saw were really nasty looking, and conned very red. However, they all conned indifferent! Well, I thought, this can't be that hard! I proceeded to make my way through all the doors and hallways, checking cons the whole time. Why didn't anything want to attack me? What a useless zone, I thought. Anyway, I set up in the SD at the zone line, and proceeded to forage for about an hour until I got the Red Sands Cactue I needed, and went back inside. I don't know why I did it, but I checked the con on the nearest mob and it's a good thing I did. At that point I realized that the invis I cast on myself in DSP was still on when I came through the first time! Lol, I can't believe how lucky I was that it held that long! I immediately used my coveted Velium Vapors to gate to Thurgadin. Haven't been back since.

Pfftt... played well, druids are gods of soloing. Bards are gods of soloing. Beastlords are gods of soloing. Shamans are gods of soloing. Rangers are.. umm.. demi-gods of soloing Smiley: grin Etc, etc yadda yadda.

That doesn't mean that necromancers aren't good at soloing just because they don't rule the entire field.

Compared to POP, GE is full of wimps. They hit for under 200 (even the lvl 58 guys!) and don't have a whole lotta hp and the casters are really weak.

Amazing exp there too, hunting with my 58 BL killing blues with my 65 cleric healing out of group, made over a bubb over lunch break.

Nice cash even and mostly easy pulls.

Even on FV (low pop server) there are >15 people there now almost all the time.

My point was that if you're going to be helpful and answer the guy's question, then do so. If you're going to be a dink and pretend to be waving around the "s33kr3t l33t inf0z" at least have some l33t inf0z that isn't already known by every person who's played the game for a month.

What exactly was the point of:
