OK, let me see if I have this right. You would rather level up a new shaman from 1 to 30something just because you don't want to have to level an occasional yellow bubble solo along the way? Seems a little backwards to me.

Also, the higher level you are, the more your regeneration is as an iksar. Your racial regen will bump up at 50 and again at 60, I believe. That's why Iksar make great shamans and necros. I have an Iksar necro, and she's a blast to play. I have virtually no down time at all and level very quickly because of that. Being that you group, your group will all benefit from you being able to regen mana faster because you can canni more.

Stick with the iksar. You won't regret it later.

Ok LOL.

While the high level Canni is very effective I think it colours the view of shaman about the lower ones.

The 24 Canni does 50 damage for 20 mana. And you have no low-cost HoT spells at 24. Your regen does 5hp per tick for 100 mana and lasts 80 ticks so you barely gain anything.

Couple this with the fact that at 24 I have about 700hp total self-buffed. No HoS or even Altuna just Inner Fire still Smiley: smile

and what I can get from STA buff. Hit your self for a few 50's and you start dropping rather close to blood aggro if you're not careful.

I also have a 55 Shaman and Canni III at that level is wonderful. I have the heals, the regen and the hp to gain meaningful amounts of mana and - like toasticle says - it is over and above whatever mana regen buffs I have. Ok so I have KEI? That doesn't entitle me to sit and med when with a bit of canni-dancing I can do a lot more.

One thing though - the new message "you hit you for 74 points of damage" - Was it really necessary?
