Afternoon everyone,
I have a level 22 necro who needs to do some farming to buy his spells.
I play on FV and every time I go to kill a lesser shade for those shadowcream armor thingies - it says that I have killed something below my level (or something like that).
How can a character farm magic items (swirling shadows) from green mobs?

The whole purpose of Trivial Loot Code is to prevent exactly this.
However the good news for you is that it isn't the Swirling Shadows that are trivving. They are neither Lore nor Magic. It is most likely one of the other drops that is trivial.

For shadowscream armor, you also need shrieking and wailing substances, and neither are lore or magic. Both of these sell for 50-150p each.

If you are just farming for Plat and not for items. Go to the PC, use the Shade weavers entrance. If you follow your map you will come upon the Owl bear cub den. only 4 of them there. They can be pulled seperate and they drop shireking substance. I was there with my 20 Pally and in 6 Hrs had 5 stacks of substance 8 Perfect pelts and 3 lvles. Not bad, put substance up for sale at night for 40pp/ea and you will sell all you have by morning.

Thanks for the help guys. I just assumed that it was the swirling shadow that was causing the message. It didn't make a lot of sense since most people can't make shadowscream (or afford it) until they are much higher then level 10 or so.
