I'm at a crossroads. I need to figure out what tradeskil I'm going to grandmaster in. What, in you honest opinion, is the best moneymaking or necessary tradeskill, and why? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My route in tradeskills has been dictated by the equipment that I end up questing for.

The better equipment requires the most dedication in tradeskills.

Here are a couple that require a certain skill in most or all of the tradeskills:

Blessed Coldain Prayer Shawl

Marked Rune Signet

Is really ANY tradeskill an option? If yes and you want to make a GM without loosing too much money pick fletching, the discord arrow recipes can get you to 227 at very low cost and the shadow tipped acrylia arrow which has a triv 268 will bring you to GM. It uses arrowheads which can be smithed at 117 with components that are on sale in the bzaar quite inexpensive.

Check EQTraders for more info.

Of course fletching is only advisable if at least one of your toons shoots lots of arrows (which means NOT ONLY to pull) because near to no one buys them in the bazaar ;-)

brewing,it costs around 300 plat (prolly less now) to GM in and once u get high levels u can sell stuff like qeynos tea, kaladim constituitonal, and demi sec champagne which all sell nice and for between 10-45pp depending on item and availability

Basicly no Tradeskills are worth doing purely to make money, most will take years to recoup the cost of GM'ing or make poor amounts that do not justify the means.

If i where to pick one to go with i would do Jewelerycraft since most of the top end items are drop only so you will in time be able to make lots of PP.

It cost me about 12k to GM Jc and in the time it took i made about 8-10k back from selling stuff in bazaar, but if the market is flooded you will not be able to do that.

At the moment gold Nihilite is the only really profitable item i can make at the moment, even Velium fire wedding rings take a week to sell.
